Featuring a vintage flat ‘slab’ body, a 9v powered 2-band active preamp, and a narrower 38mm nut, the Stingray Classic gives the player total tonal control. Available in Toluca Lake Blue, 3-Tone Sunburst and Butterscotch finishes. A nice bass for the value. I wasn’t expected the bass comes with a set up so It saves up some money to set this bass up. The electronics are awesome, active pickup gives extra attack on the notes. Definitely one of the best bass under $500

    • Outstanding bass but with flaw
I bought the Ray 24 CA through GC and had it shipped to the store. The bass was fantastic, but mine had an issue with the truss rod and I ended up trading it in for the butterscotch version which has a maple neck. Conclusion: one of the best basses I've ever owned and I've owned roughly 40 basses.
