The media could not be loaded. This would only fit 16 long guns if they were broken down in half and store away in different areas, besides that, if you had no shelves you might get away with 8-10 and then of course 4 pistols on the door or more if you had ways to organize them on the top shelf above the long guns. It comes with a push button lock and unlock code keypad (highly recommend 8 numbers which might seem intimidating but it'll get faster as you get used to your code). It also comes with interior lights. To the people that don't rate this as a sturdy safe you need to bolt it down to the floor correctly or else the door itself (which is heavier than the walls of the safe) will make it unsafe and tip over. All in all it's worth every dollar if you want to protect your investments and your a beginner or intermediate gun collector. 5/5 sturdiness 5/5 thickness 4/5 space ... show more

Really well built. Door hinges seem very solid. The whole safe appears to be of excellent quality. The only issue that there is no way this will hold 16 long guns. Maybe 8 with scopes...Maybe. I have 5 long guns 3 with scopes and it's a good fit. Also have 4 handguns and ammo for all along with some other documents coins and such. So that being said for my purposes, this is an excellent product. I only had a brief interaction with the Steelwater customer service team, and they were professional and courteous. Also, the delivery company was top notch...good communication and delivered within their stated delivery window. Great experience! ... show more

    • Best safe for value, versatility and ease of use
I absolutely love my safe, high quality materials, ready to use right out of the box, easy set up, and the key pad is so easy to set up and use. Additionally the company offers amazing support, I bought my safe in 2018, and in 2022, I replaced the battery in my key pad, and a code of the numbers would not work. I called the company and kieth called me right back and he said the key pad malfunctioned, and even though it was not under warranty any longer he would send me a new one for free. I offered to pay for shipping and he said don't worry about it, I received the new key pad a couple days later, unplugged the old one. Plugged in the new one and works perfect with the same code..highly recommend this safe and company!!! ... show more

Seems like a great safe for reasonable money. BUT, the only way you would ever fit 16 long guns in this is if you took them apart and packed the pieces like sardines. Realistically, you can likely get 8 to 10, depending on the guns. And if you happen to use both sides for long guns, the narrow shelves are not usable. Four stars for their over-generous claims of storage space. That all being said, I do feel this is a very secure safe and I feel much better about the security of my weapons now that I have it. In today's time, it's difficult to find a great product, with a great price and a great lead time aswell. Surely with all that said, customer service is non existent right? Let me tell you, with Steelwater, they make sure your getting what you purchased. The owner of this company called me and e-mailed, and I'm hard to get a hold of. None the less, we connected, and he made sure I got my safe even out of own expense which he would not let me compensate for. Not only is that rare, but I'd damn near say non existent. A company with values focused on great product and satisfied customers. I might purchase more safes just to bask in the experience of what being a consumer used to feel like, special, valued, safe and satisfied.     • Won’t unlock!
The media could not be loaded. ***UPDATE*** Customer service has been great and the safe has been fixed. A technician called me and walked me through some troubleshooting. The problem was I overtightened the screws on the inside of the safe door that hold the panel on. The screws have plastic covers and one fell off. When putting it back I noticed it would not click into place on the screw head because the screw was loose. So be careful if you choose to tighten these screws! Overtightening then causes the screw tip to interfere with the bolt linkage. In my opinion this should not be possible, and shorter screws would prevent this. Updating my review to 5 stars. 4 for the safe and one for awesome customer service. ——————- This safe was perfect. Great size and good quality, until it refused to open this evening. Thankfully I was able to get it open using some brute force but now it’s stuck in the locked position with the door open. Looks like the mechanism malfunctioned...handle won’t turn and feels like it’s stuck. Thank god I got it opened before it failed completely!! I’ve contacted the seller and hopefully they offer a quick solution. The safe is only 2 months old.... ... show more
