I have four dogs, and five vacuum cleaners, to serve different needs, from picking up dog hair to vacuuming furniture, vehicles and throw rugs. This shop vac is my newest purchase. If I had to sum up this shop vac in one word, I would call it Amazing. The suction is extraordinary, unlike anything I have ever seen. In fact, it is so powerful, I find I really have to pay attention, because it will suck in clothes from hangers, curtains, anything loose it passes near if I dont have an attachment on the end. It really does everything. This morning I wanted to clean the bathroom exhaust vents in the ceiling. It was a job I had been dreading, thinking I would need a ladder, and it would be a big job…NOT! This shop vac has a long attachment. I simply held it up to the vents and it did all the work, literally in seconds. It gets the dog hair out from under furniture too, without having to move heavy furniture. I have not tried it as a wet vac yet. The only drawback I have noticed it it is awkward to store, and the strong chemical smell has not faded, so i have to keep it in the garage. ... show more

I don't have a big Workshop nor do I do Construction. I did not need a $200.00+ 15 gal.+ Shop Vac, I needed something lighter to do simple things around the garage / car / shed that the wifey would not be happy me using her household vacuum for. Actually this filled this purpose very well, but to a point, see below..... The suction is very good, actually the units strongest point. But if you buy this intending it to replace a real live Shop Vac and what they can do, you will be either disappointed or wreck it very soon. It is all small; the hose extension diameters are small (1.0" at the extensions, not 2.0 - 2.5 like real Shop Vac's) and all the connections are quite 'Delicate' lets just say. If being used for light weight use around the house, vacuum out the car, then its OK and easy to carry and fit in places that big bulky Shop Vac's are very awkward in and actually over done for some uses. That's a bonus for me, I don't need that. But compared to real Shop Vac's, this is what I would say the build quality is more like a Toy. Be careful, don't under spec what you need ! ... show more

Great vac, I've never owned a shop vac before, but I needed to clear my AC lines and it's $200 per AC unit, and I have 2. So it was time to bite the bullet, buy a shop vac, and get the job done myself. That job alone paid me back on the investment in the Vac. The fact it can blow, pretty strongly, as well as suck lets me blow out lines and plumbing pipes to clear debris, and also suck to get the gunk out permanently. A few blockages I've placed the vac on one end, sucking, and then put a lot of hot water, vinegar and baking soda at the other, and ended up clean as new. Vac supported this perfectly. ... show more

This is a great shop vac. Sturdy, quiet, lots of attachments, long cord, excellent suction, and super easy to set up. HOWEVER, the instruction booklet is WORTHLESS. I had no idea what the cotton basket was for and if I should use it with, or without the paper dust bag. The manufacturer should NOT assume everyone knows how a shop vac works. Just for the record, I use both the cotton basket and dust bag (yes, at the same time) as I live in an area with a lot of fine dust and I prefer to add a little more protection over the motor. Also, be sure to order extra dust bags as you only receive one with purchase. ... show more

    • Almost perfect if it didn't leak at hose connections.

Suction is fine.... some had complained it was weak but with full extension on hose it still sucked up fluid or dry material fine. Those that complained about suction i wonder if they had the drain plug out or loose. It is small and light weight. I think 5 gallons is pushing it as far as fluid clean up I would say more like 4-4.5 before the ball closes off the suction. But it is easily stored and seems to work just fine after 3 uses so far. Flaws - I wish they had made the hose connection swivel ... it may have cost a buck or two more but it would have made it easier on user to keep hose from getting in a bind and you fighting against it. to bend it a certain direction. The other thing when it is on and sucking fluid it does not leak but as soon as the valve closes and the suction stops any fluid in the hose drips out of the connection ...... it is not a bad leak or anything just know it could drip some from the hose until all the fluid is out. not bad and serves my purpose but a few little things could make it better. ... show more
