It's soooo much quieter than my old hot dog. Works great. I did the "break in" run per instructions. All is well. I wasn't prepared for the weight and non-ergonomically-designed handle. Another review said that it was too low for a tall man, but the center of gravity is pretty far forward for a short woman to lean it back and roll it, so I might create a taller handle for leverage, plus hose and tool storage that could act as counterweight, but come off (like a vice grip type connection maybe?) when I actually have to lift it. With the (Not Included) 50 ft hose and 100 ft of extension cords, that won't be often, and I may not end up changing anything. I suggest getting 2 good, rubbery 25' air hoses instead of one 50' with a swivel or quick-connect between them. My 50' hose is awesome, but it's a lot of hose in one run. The coiled plastic included with the Craftsman hot dog lasted years, but I always wondered if this would be the last use. I avoided that this time, but, yeah, a 50' fatty bologna hose isn't so "portable" for me as 2- 25s, so I'll cut fatty in half, eventually. Back to the topic... I read other reviews that said the regulators sometimes leak, so I planned to change it out. It is very slowly losing pressure, but I haven't tracked it down. Could just as easily be the tire pump attachment, but regardless, it's too slow a loss to bother with now. Overall, I would buy it again if it somehow fell out of the back of my truck and went off a cliff or something. I looked everywhere online for weeks before deciding on this as the best deal on the most powerful truly portable (wheels) compressor attachment the best price, and so far it looks like my research paid off. And, did I mention that the "Stealth" name on this thing isn't bull****? It is soooooooo quiet. If it suits your needs, I'd have to say that this one is a good purchase. ... show more

Seriously. If you are looking for an air compressor this is the one you want. What matters in an air compressor? It has enough capacity to handle whatever you would do in your home and I think enough to drive air tools on the job. It reaches maximum pressure from empty tanks in less than 2 minutes. and as you use it, recovers from pressure loss in seconds, not minutes. AND, it is very quiet. I have only had this a few months now but the times in which I have used it have been wonderful. It is SUPER quiet, produces plenty of air and is easy to roll around if necessary with the large wheels. The on-off switch is easy, it accepts accessory devices like tire inflation, air blow gun and can also produce enough pressure consistently for my plasma cutter. I do recommend this purchase to anyone with a small space and not looking to throw out their back for everyday use. It would NOT be suitable for heavy garage use like an impact wrench. ... show more

I’ve had this compressor for several months now and I am very happy with it. My previous compressor was a pancake style compressor and it was very loud, over 100 decibels. Using a decibel meter on my iPhone, which I don’t know how accurate it is, but this compressor is around 70 decibels. It is very quiet. I can stand right next to it and have a normal conversation. Over the past few months I have had no issues with it. it takes about 90 seconds to go from empty to full. Controlling the amount of pressure going to the hose is very easy to adjust. When using it and it needs to fill back up, it takes around 15 seconds to fill back up. I use the compressor with several different nail guns, for blowing dust off equipments, and for pumping up tires and balls. It has worked great with all of them.     • Great, but developed a leaky regulator valve.

The compressor itself is great. Don't get me wrong. I love it's capacity, as well as the stealth quality. The sound really is noticeably quieter than I am used to. I use a small radio while I'm working on my car, and can still hear it over the compressor with it being less than 5 feet away. Really quite. However, the regulator had a leaky valve. It did not show up for a few months, but it seems that it had developed a small leak in the pressure regulator, right at the joint where the hose pressure display is located. I was able to take it apart incredibly easily, and simply tighten the fitting back down. It fixed the issue, and have had no further issues. So as long as you are like me, and don't mind a bit of maintenance it's not a big deal. I read online that this is a common issue with this model. So just be aware of that. But I change my high pressure fitting anyway because I am pretty OCD. But great tank overall. I can recommend it. But understand the capacity limitations, it's size limits the capacity at any one time. more of a DIY around the house and garage, not so much at the worksite. That being said, it fills quickly, and even though it's running often, it is incredibly quiet. If you have it in another room, you probably won't even hear it. Great stuff. ... show more
