This is the perfect kit for small animals or well, dumb animals like goat and sheep. At .8 joule it's going to work for those types of livestock, but .8 is not enough for bears. I have it set up with a 3.5 joule now. The set up and roll out of the fence was easy enough, it was easy to spike in and tighten up, and comes with tent pegs and some rope to reinforce the fence. I don't think it will hold back a charging bear by any means, but if it is casually inspecting it and get zapped, it won't come back for sure. ... show more
