I'm going to use this a couple more times and update if there is any issue with bugs. This lamp is a lot brighter than I expected, I guess I expected a heat dish inverted which just glows, however this puts out a good amount of light from the heating bulb. Enough to upset the mood potentially if you are trying to sit in the dark. Seems like it would draw in and cook bugs pretty easily, however I haven't had it on a buggy night yet since it's starting to get cooler out. The over all build is great, and it's super sturdy. Other than the brightness this is 100% what I was looking for. I'll update after a few of using it. Thanks! ... show more

I was bummed out that the product was damaged during delivery. It was definitely not the fault of the seller or manufacturer... The box had clearly been in an accident, and despite the careful packaging protecting the halogen heating element was cracked in half. Since the heating element is in essence a halogen light bulb with a huge element, it will burn up in a dangerous blaze of glory if I were to power it on. If I had purchased this, I'd have returned it and bought another one. So that says something, right? Since I can't do that, I'll look for a replacement heating element. Giving 5 stars because I wasn't able to find any faults in the product due to the delivery accident. Wish I could have had more to say - ah well. Cheers! 🥂 ... show more
