  • 2007 Mazda 3 S - Fits
It's a gas cap, and it fits my car. That's about it. No story needed. I'll provide one anyway. So, I was working this gig one night a little while back it was a Christmas/Holiday party for these people at a warehouse. I wasn't sure how it would go honestly because it all seemed a bit unprofessional or whatever. But I was there so you know I was gonna work as well as I could. So I got there and the portable bar was already there and there was a table and a few coolers. Thankfully the coolers already had beer, some wine and some NA drinks in them. But there was still a bunch of things I had to set up of course. So one of my biggest pet peeves is getting to a place and then having the people immediately come up asking me for things. This is not good because once you give one person something then everyone sees that person with the drink and then they assume I am open and ready to start serving which makes it that much difficult for me to focus on setting things up and trying to see what else I need to do, all the while taking care of the guests. So I had that going on which wasn't fun. Eventually though I got it all together and was up and running. The guests actually turned out to be really cool people and I was surprised that almost everyone coming up to my bar was tipping. The client even offered me food as well. The worst thing that happened throughout the night was when I broke a giant bottle of fireball, I was making cinnamon toast crunch shots [Fireball and rumchata or baileys]. And I had the bottle chilling in one of the coolers so when I went to grab the bottle I grabbed it quickly and the top of the bottle nicked the side of the bar and it broke near the spout area so there was a huge hole in the side of the bottle. Thankfully no one actually noticed this, and no glass got in the clean ice so I just took an empty boston shaker and just emptied the rest of the bottle in there. The party wound up going over the time requested but I stayed for another hour and the host wound up paying me for the time over as well as tipping me. I left the party and then headed home, during this time there was this girl I met a long while back that was messaging me. She was 17 when I met her [I thought she was 18] and when I found out her age I completely cut ties and told her to call me when she turns 18 because I'm not about that life. I actually don't like young women because they tend to be a bit immature and can get a bit clingy, but I've never been with someone who had just turned 18 so I figured, why not. So she was at some bar with friends and she told me to come meet up with her, I quickly changed at home and took a shower. I was actually surprised that the bar was only a 7 minute drive from my place. Sweet. So, I get there and in the parking lot was some attendant "helping" people back there cars into spots, this dumby was trying to get my to park so close to the car next to me that the other people would definitely hit my car with their door when it opened. Again, not about that life, I'm an independent black woman so I parked at a distance that was acceptable to me. When I got to the bar I discovered there was a cover charge to get it.. I hate that, I don't like paying to go into a freaking bar, that's ridiculous. But I was already there and I already paid to park so I went with the flow. It was $10 for 21+ and $20 for 18-21.. [I don't know who in the right mind would pay $20 to get into a bar, but that's not my problem. Miami is just stupid like that.] So I get in to the bar and then I ask the bartender for a glass of water and then tip her $1. She then points to the big water cooler 5feet from me and I say to myself. Ohh. So I grab myself a cup of water and head out back to where the girl was, she was with 2 of her friends just hanging out. We chilled for a little bit there but I really wasn't feeling the place so we headed back to my place after 20 minutes or so. I made a couple drinks and we all played Exploding Kittens [great card game available on Amazon.com]. Shes a big smoker and I don't smoke much but her friends had half a blunt on them so I said why not. We finished the blunt out on the balcony and then headed back inside. Her friends left for a little while for I don't know/care. So we're sitting on my microfiber couch available exclusively at Walmart for less than $400 [It even converts into a bed!], and she was wearing this really cute black and white onesie which I found very adorable and fit her little body perfectly. So one thing led to another and we got to doing the dirty on my microfiber couch available exclusively at Walmart. It was a very comfortable romp and a nice session. Her friends tried coming back inside but she told them we were busy. We go for another round on my microfiber couch available exclusively at Walmart and then take it to the bedroom where we get comfortable on my Queen sized Tuft & Needle mattress available on Amazon for $599. After a while she needs to go home because she has a bedtime or something. So on the way I pulled up to a gas station, I got out and opened the fuel thing and then put the gas cap on top of my car. I then put my card in the machine and it won't take it, I tried 2 different cards and neither one worked. So I get back in my car and drive off to another gas station. I got to the other gas station and open up my fuel thing only to realize that the cap is missing. I left it on top of my car when I drove off! This makes me irate and I get a bit mad at the situation. The girl starts telling me that she's sorry and that she can just take an uber and she feels like she got me into this situation. But I say no, I'm already driving it's probably best I get her home safe. So, I finish fueling up and then I drive back to the other gas station to retrace my steps. Damn! It's not here!! So I drive down the street and I spot the gas cap. It's in the middle of the road!! I pull up to this random motel and get out of the car, before I get out I see a defeated look on the girls face. I tell her I'll be right back and then I run out into the middle of the road. I find the gas cap and it's broken into a couple different pieces but I could still kinda put it together. I then get back into the car and then try putting the thing together and I wind up snapping one of the pieces and breaking any remaining salvageable part that puts the top onto the bottom. So I just put the bottom part of the gas cap in without the black top to at least have some sort of seal of my gas tank. A couple of days later I see a check engine light come on and the only change in my car was the gas cap so I immediately ordered the fuel cap and then put the new cap on. It fit perfectly and then about a week or so later the check engine light disappeared. ... show more

  • Fits perfectly on 2008 Mazda 3
My original cap locked into place without ability to remove without destroying it. If this ever happens to you, use some vice grips to rip off the old outer black part of the cap, then once that is removed, use two vice grips to tightly grip the cylinder walls at 9 o'clock and at 3 o'clock. Then use a long rod to lever in between the two vice grips, and then crank lefty-loosey to remove the white part that is stuck. This product is great and slides in a little bit before turning - it should not have the same mis-alignment with the threads like the stock cap does. ... show more

  • Good replacement part for my 2008 Mazda 3
I have a 2008 Mazda 3 and the original gas cap became stripped, like they do, which was repeatedly setting off the check engine light. This is the best replacement part short of spending a lot more on a brand name Mazda replacement cap, which is unnecessary unless you're the type of person who can somehow manage to forget to screw the cap back in and drive off after getting gas so you need that thin plastic strip (which was broken on mine anyway) to allow the cap to stay attached to your car when it was unscrewed. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit
Works perfectly on the old 2004 Mazda 3. Had a check engine light due to a worn out fuel cap and replaced it with this one rather than ordering the way more expensive Mazda part. Fits perfectly, closes tightly and at a great price.

  • Does not fit tether but works fine as a cap should!
This cap works great for my 2006 Mazda 3, only one ssue and I knew it before I brought it and that is that the tether does not fit. It was suggest by the seller that I grind the tether down to make it fit and I might try that but that will be tougher than it sounds. If they offered a tether that fit I'd be at five stars. Works fine without tether, just be sure you don't forget it at the station. ... show more

  • Go for it
After filling the gas in my mazda 5, I accidentally left the fuel cap on top of my car. Of course I lost it! I ordered this product to replace the original. It’s perfect for mazda 5, great quality and right for price.

  • Good cap - great price
This cap is a replacement for the one I lost for my 2008 Mazda3. It seems to work just as well and is clearly quality made. I plan to keep a close eye on it so I don't lose this one! Don't even think about paying for a genuine Mazda cap!

  • Failing after 9 months...
After 9 months of problem-free use it seems this cap will no longer hold a seal. There's a terrible groaning sound coming from the cap area every time my fuel pump draws. And now my check engine light is on with a vacuum fault code, presumably because there isn't adequate pressure throughout the fuel system. ... show more
