Didn't solve my P0456 code, slow EVAP leak, which turned out to be a canister leak located above the tank, due to some rodent chewing on the corner of it. But well worth the try if you bang a P0456 first, before doing anything else. Clear the code, install the cap and see what happens.

I bought this to replace my old one for my Jeep Cherokee. I had a sensor telling me that my cap needed to be replaced, so we replaced it. The sensor never fixed itself so I thought maybe something more major was going on, so I took it to a mechanic. They said that this cap cannot handle the pressure and so gas fumes are leaking through this brand new cap. She explained that these type of caps usually don’t work because they can’t handle the correct pressure and had me order a cap from the dealer. Very disappointing.
