    • You must hold cap stationary while locking.
I saw several reviews of people saying it does not lock. This is because they did not hold the cap from moving while turning the key. After the cap is locked the top of the cap will just spin freely until you use the key to engage the lower portion. I thought mine didn't work until I realized I wasn't holding the cap from moving while locking it also. It takes two hands to lock this cap. One to hold the cap and the other to turn the key. ... show more

I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 (Calif). This is a Quick Click cap, not a threaded one. I understand you could have either. It works on my model. Check your filler tube to make sure which one you have. Great price.

I purchased this cap for my 2010 GMC Sierra and it worked fine. Tried it on my 2012 Chevy Captiva Sport and it fit it too. Amazon said it would not fit my Captiva but it did.

    • Doesn’t seal; check engine light comes on
Works ok, but it does not have a proper seal which caused my check engine light to stay on. Mechanic did a smoke test to determine issue - smoke poured out around this locking gas cap. Had to go back to my factory cap. ‘06 Pontiac Torrent Glad to hear it works for some; it is a great idea!
