  • Small and sturdy
My husband was recovering from a stroke. Though he was not able to walk well I was worried that he would fall out of bed. This small rail was stable and had pockets to leave his cell phone and remote. I would highly recommend this bed rail.

  • Works well so far
Seems to be working well so far. Obviously, I can't speak to its durability yet as it's only been used for a week or so.

  • Must have !!!
So strong and sturdy, love pocket to hold things, it helps me so much to get in and out of bed. Doesn’t take up a lot of space so it will fit in tight spaces. I need it for double knee replacement surgery. Worth its weight in gold!!

  • Seems to be sturdy and helpful for our elderly mother
My mother in law is in assisted living and the staff suggested this. She has significant mobility issues and this is helpful for her to get in and out of bed.

  • Dangerous bedrail.
I purchased this bedrail to assist my wife on October 6, 2019. Amazon's return window ended 1 month later. Now after just 4 months of use the handle collapses without warning whenever she tries to use it for any vertical support when leaving her bed. The vertical handle support adjustment relies on low quality plastic and rubber collets that have now shredded (photo), and are useless after just 4 months of use. I wish that Amazon or the Stander company could help us get a refund. UPDATE, UPDATE ... Stander Company did provide new replacement parts to me free of charge in February 2020. Hopefully this will resolve the problem. They were very polite and understanding and are trying to rectify the situation. ... show more

  • gap between rail and mattress
I had just one problem with this product, but it is a serious one. The outside support rail for the mattress on my twin size bed, is fairly thick (maybe 1/2") and the mattress tends to slide a bit toward the wall which it is up against (sliding over the box spring). When I put the Stable Rail as close to the mattress as it would go, it left a gap of almost 4" between the mattress and the rail. Since I had purchased it to prevent an elderly family member from falling out of the bed, I was concerned that he could slide between the rail and the mattress, in the gap, and get caught. I rolled up a small blanket and pushed it in the gap to fill the space. That seems to work but it is not a great fix. I also had to wrap fabric strips around the posts of the rail to keep the blanket from slipping out between the posts. The box spring appears to be a little wider than the mattress. I don't know how common that is but it would be good to consider that when buying this kind of product. ... show more
