I received the shipment with damaged packaging. To my surprise, the strainer inside was not damaged at all. The product description says it's stainless steel. I checked it with a magnet and confirmed it is stainless steel, but it is a low grade stainless that can still rust, but should be fine as long as it's cleaned and dried after every use. This strainer should work well for my needs. I'll find out this upcoming weekend when I harvest my honey. UPDATE: I processed 2 gallons of honey this past weekend using the strainers. The double sieve setup worked great. First I used the strainers to drain the excess honey from the removed capping's of wax. Then after the extracting process, the strainers were used again to filter the final stage of the honey. Cleanup was easy...I sprayed the strainers upside down in the yard with a garden hose. The cold water easily removed the residue of honey and wax before handwashing them in the kitchen sink. I changed to 5 stars because I was very satisfied when all was done. ... show more
