  • excellent installation and looks great
Color: A-blinds Size: 17.5in x 78.7in
Faux blind film looks so much like the real deal on our bunk room windows. You can see light through it but no shapes. There's a slight texture to the side that's away from the glass surface. There isn't an adhesive backing but it adheres when you apply it with a liquid on the surface of the glass. The product instructions say to use water on the glass to help with installation but i used aerosol foam glass cleaner. Once I have it in position on the glass, i rub out the bubbles gently with a soft cloth. Once dry, the film sticks like magic. I've used foam cleaner to install many pieces of peel and stick tile in our RV's and figured what could it hurt to give it a try. It worked really well. ... show more

  • Good for privacy
Color: A-blinds Size: 17.5in x 78.7in
Works good for privacy on a window facing our neighbors house. Very easy to use. Looks like real blinds from the exterior. It doesn’t do much as far as blocking sunlight. The sun still comes through very bright. Just get a water spray bottle and add a few drops of dish soap. Spray your window and the film suctions to the glass. You can move it around until you have it in the correct place. Take something flat, like a credit card, and run it over the film to push the water out. ... show more

  • Great value
Color: Black-silver Size: 23.6in x 78.7in
This product works perfectly for my large. Living room window. Super easy to cut to size and install! I needed privacy but still needed some sunlight to get through so I left the 2 upper corner windows uncovered and covered the others for privacy and to cut back on the heat of the sun. I have already reordered so I could do it to my kitchen window which gets the afternoon soon! Keeps it so much cooler! ... show more

  • Meh
Color: Black-silver Size: 17.5in x 78.7in
It’s not that easy to apply to small windows, I couldn’t imagine doing it to larger ones. That being said, it is easier than some other film I’ve also used. I’m not impressed with the night time privacy. I was hoping for more tint/distortion but if it’s lighter inside than out, you can see straight in no issues. ... show more

  • YES!
Color: A-blinds Size: 47.2in x 157.4in
Placed these on my old sliding glass doors to help camouflage how bad the glass was looking. Looks great!! Truly looks like blinds, from the inside and outside. Best part, it made the slider look newer since you can no longer see the visual issues caused by broken seal.

  • Unwieldy, curls, difficult to work with
Color: C-two Sided-silver Size: 35.4in x 78.7in
Working with this product will take you longer than other competing products, for it is much thicker, much like a tarp. It also is extremely dent-prone, so if you do choose to use it, say due to its thickness, which may translate into better insulation and ray deflection, use it on windows/sliders that are more obscure, as it is highly unlikely that you'll get virtually all of the bubbles out unless you're a pro. It also has a terrible problem with curling, making it difficult to work with, you end up wrestling with it. I suggest rolling it the opposite way and using office clips to keep it that way, at least overnight, to alleviate this a bit. Coavas offers a superior product of similar thickness, with minimal curling. First, there are no tools included in this one as a competitor, whose product I recommend not only for that reason, but more importantly because it's thinner, less wrinkle-prone, and thus far easier to work with. My modified instructions are: (1) Roll the product in the opposite direction and clip it so that it stays. Wait overnight before continuing. (2) Decide a large smooth surface where you’re going to measure the material, sweep it of dirt first. I used a bathroom floor. (3) Measure the windows, ideally with a ruler as long as one of your dimensions; (4) Clean the window(s) you’re using this product on; (5) Gently lay out the product. You will need multiple heavy things to weigh down the edges, for you’ll be fighting the constant curling. A floor lamp may also help you see your marker marks. I tried using masking tape to help hold the product down, but it was a mediocre solution. Using an erasable marker, with measurements a marker width wider than what you came up with in step 3, mark the product for the first pane. By far, this was the most time-consuming and frustrating part. (6) Cut the product: I used scissors, cutting inside the marks (if you use the included knife, you’d have to have something under the product). (7) Wipe off your marker marks. (8) Hold what you cut on the window (dry) that you’ll be putting it on for checking your accuracy. If it’s slightly off, use that on the top of the two-pane window (what I had) or have the “off” part where it would be least noticed. With this product, due to its thickness, it's best to cut the extra, it's best to use scissors. (9) Fill a spray bottle with water and lotion (not detergent), mix well so that it’s relatively clear. Place a towel in front of the receiving window, and generously spray the receiving window. (10) Peel off the back of the product- they include tape, using it on one side, and fingernails on the other, probably worked better. Hold the film over the towel that’s near the window and generously spray the side you just exposed. (11) Apply the product to the window. (12) Wrap a squeegee with a washcloth/hand towel to avoid scratching the product and remove the bubbles and water. (13) Press around the edges to force the curl away from the window. (14) Due to this product's thickness, getting as close to size is preferable. Scissors worked better for me than a utility knife, for you can easily make a mistake with the latter, including on the frame if vinyl. (15) Relax. With this type of product, as long as you cover 99% of the window, you're good! Darkness: noticeable difference. That was my primary motivation for doing this work. Heat gain: the thicker material seems to make a difference, but I can't say for sure. I had done the two other windows in my room with another, thinner product just prior to this, but this window gets the stronger afternoon rays. ... show more
