These are very heavy duty and sturdy. They are very easy to hold and completely adjustable. They are really easy to assemble and quite affordable. This set is perfect for small and compact areas. Great value for the money.

    • Design is a little weak, but great customer service
The media could not be loaded. This dumbbell broke several months after getting it and using it 2 times a week. There are janky plastic gears that will likely break in a few months depending on how much you use them. At first I had trouble contacting the vendor about the defect in the weights. If you follow the link from Amazon, it leads to a dead 404 page, but you can navigate to the main page and find a contact form. I submitted a warranty replacement request. I didn't hear from them for 3 days. I was pretty upset and tried to get amazon to refund, but no luck. They finally reached out to me. After several photos and several versions of the invoice, they were convinced I had a valid Warrenty replacement justification and sent me a new dumbbell. The process took about 3 weeks to get my replacement. I gave them 4 stars and not 3 because of how difficult it was to ship a 75 lb dumbbell in a reasonable amount of time. I also know these are pretty expensive. I definitely give them an A for effort and a C for execution. I would consider purchasing equipment from the vendor in the future. Ow ow ow. I am writing this review while literally still in pain so I can communicate how dangerous this is. I’ve owned the unit for less than 1 month and was I was doing a routine shoulder press when one of the weights flew off the end and hit / sliced my ankle. I am a larger man than can withstand a lot of pain and this is extremely painful. Should not be allowed to be sold on Amazon will be filing a complaint with consumer protection and demanding a refund. ... show more

    • Gets the job done at a good price
I was super on the fence about these vs the nuobells. Eventually I decided to just give it a try and do a return if I didn't like it. I see some complaints about build quality but so far after several workouts I have no complaints there. I was worried about it coming undone at certain angles but ive done chest press, shoulder press, flys, lateral raises, curls, overhead tricep extensions, tricep kickbacks, etc. And it didn't come loose during any of those. I'm sad it doesn't go to 80 but I can live with that. The only complaints I have are that it occasionally gets misaligned in the stand and I have to finnagle it to get it to change weights, the weight increments are funky and don't cover all options a normal dB set would, and lastly that sometimes the extra weights on the base tilt and I have to hold them in place to put the handle back in. Edit - realized if I make a rack to hold these and have the base at an angle, it would fix the problem of the plates not being flush All things considered I'm super happy with my purchase and saving the money by skipping the nuobells ... show more

For weights, especially dumbbells, there should be no plastic/ plastic type material on them or their cradle. I can make the statement because, this unit arrived broken and the plastic attachment was broken. Also as someone who has handled dumbbell for more than 15 years and someone who is seriously about working this dumbbell is not for you. ... show more

Was a little skeptical at first but ended up buying two of these. Adjustability is 2/4/8/12/16/20/24/28/32kg or approx 4.5/9/18/27/35/44/53/62/70lbs. You aren't going to find any other dumbbells at this price point that go up to 70lbs. The next best adjustable dumbbell is a pair of Norditrack 55lbs @ $329. Just like the nuobells, these are not meant to be dropped. A little bit stiff but the mechanism is simple enough so that you shouldn't have trouble adjusting them. Perfect addition to my small apartment gym. My only gripe is that handle feels more like aluminum and does get a little slippery towards the end of my workout. 9.5/10 for me, any other complaints are petty IMHO. If you take care of your equipment, these should last a very long time. ... show more
