  • Exactly as described
Excellent dumbbell set. Easy to use. 70lbs in one compact unit. Works well. Easy to change between weights. Comfortable grip. Feels secure while in use. Much better looking than many of the other similar option out there. Great form factor. As good as it gets for the price. I have tried several other similar dumbbells, and this this set from Squatz far exceeds any of the others out there. ... show more

  • Good dumbbell weight
The dumbbell is fantastic; it works perfectly, and you can change the weight with a click. At first, I thought 70 lbs would be too much, but it is perfect; you can use almost full weight with lat rows. Dumbbells are a popular piece of fitness equipment that can be used for a variety of exercises to work different muscle groups in the body. They are versatile, easy to use, and can be adjusted to different weights to accommodate different fitness levels and exercise goals. The SQUATZ dumbbell weight set you described seems to have some useful features such as anti-slip metal handles and quick change weight adjustments with twist lock technology. These features can make the dumbbells more comfortable and convenient to use during workouts. When it comes to using dumbbells for full body workouts, there are many exercises you can do to target different muscle groups, such as squats, lunges, bench presses, and overhead presses. It's important to use proper form and start with lighter weights if you're new to weightlifting, to avoid injury and build strength gradually. Overall, using dumbbells can be a great way to add resistance training to your fitness routine and help you achieve your exercise goals. However, it's always a good idea to consult with a fitness professional or doctor before starting any new exercise program. ... show more

  • Plastic gears failed after 6 months
Decent (adjustment gear action is stiff/rough) until the gears started crunching and then slipping after 4 months of use. End plates can fall off during use when not properly aligned. Contacted Squatz customer service, received response one month later requesting invoice/photos. Dumbbell was registered for warranty when purchased (should have had record of purchase in their database). Photos/invoice sent that same day. No further response. Two months later, the helical spur gear that translates rotational motion into the linear motion that extends the grips broke in two. Not going to wait another month for a response, followed by two additional months of silence. Squatz has poor ... show more

  • Brand new, will update over useage
Bought and received them at the start of August. Here are a few tid bits. Packaging: very good. The weights come in a clam shell of Styrofoam and inside a cardboard box. No damage to the items or the packaging. Initial looks: they look really good. The mechanism that rotates the weights works well. Notches into each spot so you get that positive connection. The base works, but it is just a couple of metal bars and plastic ends. Weights: haven't put them on a scale yet, but they do feel about right when holding and lifting. Will drag put the scale and weigh them to see accuracy. Started lifting with them and when locked into the weight desired, they feel solid and have no qualms of lifting over my head. Concerns: website. You get a notice in the packaging to register your product online. You go there and there is no way to register. They don't even list the product on the website. This was on 8/4/23. The plastic on the weights: this will be a point that wears out over time. Since they don't list the product on the website, if these plastic bits break...you/me might be S.O.L. Update 11/9/23 There is a little bit of wiggle from the weights. Not sure if it is any worse from what I remember but it's there. And 1 side definitely wiggles more than the other. The weights themselves are about 1 pound heavier than the listed number. Which is ok for me. I am still using them every week and very much enjoying them ... show more

  • Product will fail
I have had these weights for just over a year and they failed. The nagnets that allow the weight change will fail.

  • Sturdy, well built dumbell
I actually ordered 2 of these. The setup is great and having the option to increase and decrease the weights is very nice! Beats having a ton of single dumbells laying around. I recommend these dumbells.

  • Gets the job done at a good price
I was super on the fence about these vs the nuobells. Eventually I decided to just give it a try and do a return if I didn't like it. I see some complaints about build quality but so far after several workouts I have no complaints there. I was worried about it coming undone at certain angles but ive done chest press, shoulder press, flys, lateral raises, curls, overhead tricep extensions, tricep kickbacks, etc. And it didn't come loose during any of those. I'm sad it doesn't go to 80 but I can live with that. The only complaints I have are that it occasionally gets misaligned in the stand and I have to finnagle it to get it to change weights, the weight increments are funky and don't cover all options a normal dB set would, and lastly that sometimes the extra weights on the base tilt and I have to hold them in place to put the handle back in. Edit - realized if I make a rack to hold these and have the base at an angle, it would fix the problem of the plates not being flush All things considered I'm super happy with my purchase and saving the money by skipping the nuobells ... show more

  • They work. Just be sure to have all the plates aligned
These are knock off adjustable dumbells. That said they work. Feels like a regular dumbell. The plates move. But seem secure. Changing the weight, works but be sure all plates are perfectly aligned or it wont work. Also, at some weights the internal bar does not match the plate. I.e. it is below the plate level. Don’t go so heavy you have to drop them. Part of the internal mechanism is plastic and will break. Overall, they do the job but that’s it. ... show more
