The flex s was a great addition to my trail cameras! I have been a big fan of the spy point links for years and they are still running to this day. I was excited to get the flex s because of its built in solar panel and the clarity of its photos. It was a huge upgrade and it is a life saver to not have to constantly change my batteries.     • Constant camera failure
Please do not spend your hard-earned money on this piece of crap. It did not work for me. I followed the instructions and installed the camera in the field. It worked for about 16 hours and it stopped sending pictures. I issued instant photo command from the camera and it stayed on processing for hours. Eventually I gave up and drove 30 minutes to the field and recycled the power and then it started working again. After about 16 hours, it stopped sending pictures again. I had to drive 30 minutes again to the field and once again recycled the power. This cycle continued for about 2 or 3 more times and I called support. Long story short, the support tech told me to recycle the power after I had explained to them that I have already recycled the power several times after the camera stopped sending pictures. At this point, I gave up and returned the camera since I only had it for a week. Here comes the kicker, they refunded me the tax I paid on the product, kept the entire cost of the camera and told me it is for restocking fee. I had to dispute the charge basically fighting them for them to give me a full refund. The experience I went through with SPYPOINT has left a bad taste in my mouth. The media could not be loaded. I got the Flex-S camera as I needed a cellular trail camera I could put out at one of my distant spots and wouldn't have to go in changing batteries as often (area is 3-4 miles in). After using the Flex-S I am very impressed and glad I chose it. The setup is very EASY and even allows you to do firmware updates from home, which is one of my favorite features. After putting the camera up, I received over 40 videos in a week and am still almost at full charge, the solar panel makes that much of a difference!!! I have attached some videos from the Flex-S but as you can tell the quality is AMAZING. In addition, with the turkey footage I got, I was quite surprised how good the audio in the videos was as well, just another bonus! Overall highly recommend the Flex-S!!! ... show more

    • Extremely disappointed
I have 4 of the Link Micro S cameras that are about 2.5 years old, my only real issue with these is 2 of them were version and had poor service in our location and the 10MP picture quality. I bought 4 of the Flex S cameras the 1st day they were available, and at first glance there were great. Dual SIM card,36MP ,internal battery, solar panel and instant mode. However after trying to use them in the field they are far less than great. Best thing about them is the Dual-Sim and the 36MP. The internal battery paired with the solar charger is good for about a week at best if you have a lot of activity. The MicroLink has the ability to customize a schedule so the camera is only on when you want it on, and conserves battery. Meaning I can turn it off on certain days or only have it on a few hours in morning and evening if I want. This is a feature that was removed from the Flex. I only have the ability to shut off the cellular so it doesn’t send pictures but no way to turn of the camera with out going to the camera opening it up and turning off. To use the instant mode you need to have an external battery and charger as it will quickly deplete the battery, basically the camera is on all the time, never goes into “sleep” mode. I did forget the GPS on the camera is a nice feature for mapping an area or finding your cameras. PROS- Dual-sim card's , GPS and 36mp . Cons- Poor battery life, and inability to customize the schedule. For me the Cons far outweigh the pros, and I think if the camera had the ability to customize the schedule as the older versions (at about the 1/3 of the price) do, it would be a winner. And until that is corrected these are a No-Go for me. And my return window closed a few days ago, so I am stuck with them. ... show more
