I bought the XD9 essentials package. It didn't come with the loader, mag pouch and the holster. I figured I didn't need any of those since I only intend to use this for HD and the range. I tried loading my magazine by hand. The first 2 or 3 cartridges went in easy enough but it was very difficult from then on especially when you get past 8 rounds. This worked perfectly! I bought this for my Girlfriends xdm 40 sub compact,it works EXCELLENT!!!! It fits the mag PERFECTLY,it is easy to use right out of the box NO HASSLES at all!!! This is a tip for all of the xdm 40 compact and sub-compact owners out there,you can buy the HI CAP 9mm mags and use them in your .40 cal!!! The 9mm mags holds 16 rounds,I was able to load 14 rounds of .40 S&W rounds in this mag!!!! You will need this up lulu/mag loader if you want to get all 14 rounds into this 9mm mag,I tried to load the mag by hand!!! Good luck with that,it took forever and a lot of hand STRENGTH to get it done!!! So as I said earlier,buy the Mag Loader and your mission/job to get this mag loaded will be easier and alot faster!!!! ... show more

A handy helper for loading those pesky spring-loaded magazines. It works well. But the included instructions, in English no less, were nearly impossible to decipher. Frankly, I prefer the " Maglula UpLULA Universal Pistol Magazine Loader " here on Amazon. Lower cost, comes in a variety of ammunition sizes, and if flat black is not your color then you can pay for your favorite. I have arthritis in both hands and wrists, my thumbs are the worst! This tool has allowed me to reload my magazines with no problem, once you get a rhythm to it you will be convinced! I bought this for an XD-9 (Springfield) I bought just recently, and I shoot it a lot thanks to being able not only to enjoy shooting again with a pistol, but now I don't have to dread reloading really tight magazines like the ones that come with the XD-9. The last four and especially the last two were very tough to load by hand. Now... a breeze. You like to shoot, a LOT? Get one! Save your hands. ... show more

Works for my XD MOD 2 4" Service Model. Being a noob, it took me a couple minutes to figure it out since did not come with instructions. Now I have no problems using it. It arrived when expected new in the box. Would have given all 5 stars but no instructions.

This loader is designed to accommodate double-stack mags. It's terrible for the XDS single-stack mag and flops all over the place while trying to load cartridges, causing the depressor to catch on the top of the mag. I even checked you tube videos to verify I was using this correctly, but they show it being used with double stack mags. It's getting returned. ... show more

The first thing I bought for my Springfield XD. The magazine is so tough on the last 4 bullets this easy is worth the money. I can fill 4 magazine faster than me tryna do one by hand.

    • Makes loading mags much easier
I have found that the springs in my XD mags are really stiff, and that made loading them difficult. I tried using a mag loader I have for another pistol, but this one made it so much easier. If you have an XD, get this magazine loader. You'll be glad you did.
