    • Good speed bag for the price
THe speed bag arrived quickly and undamaged. It took a while for my husband to install it. (Probably because he wasn't going to use it!) He is a mechanic so it was very easy for him, but if I had to install it I don't think I would've been able to do it (hence the 4 stars). I have not punched many speed bags in my lifetime, and I am just getting the hang of this one but it serves its purpose and I wouldn't know the difference from a thousand dollar speed bag to this one.     • Too many bolts
I guess there were cost considerations but they used bolts throughout where locking pins would've been a lot more applicable. The pivot on each arm is a fully threaded bolt with a hand turned nut. The position lock on each arm is another fully threaded bolt with a hand turned nut (must insert the bolts on opposing sides so the nuts don't collide). The spring attaches to the arm with a bolt (although this one is only half threaded, which helps the spring not get unscrewed from hitting the bag). And finally the bag has a bolt attached to the top end which screws into the spring. Also the bag is only intended to be used with the user facing the wall (punching towards the wall) so with the arm fully up or down you're only going to have about 10 inches of clearance from the wall. The wall plate only has two bolt holes, above and below the attachment point, so it's not really designed to handle lateral loads. The spring they chose is also wound with the coils touching, so it's got a lot of centering force snapping it straight. The bounce is completely different to a proper hanging bag. But then again what do you expect for this price, given it's cheaper than even a decent bag on its own. Giving it 4 stars for the value. Also the pump (which leaks, but still worked) has the needle in a special compartment inside the handle, which is a bit neat. ... show more

Easy to setup, feels like it’s durable and well made. Speed and size are fine for beginner. Favorite part is adjustable height for various users. It’s on sale right now and great bang for buck and good addition to the home boxing gym!

But mounts to the wall very easily and with sturdiness. Allows for the force of a good punch, and for the boxer makes for a good head target.

    • It’s more of a set and forget the angle
While it is easy to adjust, you have to unscrew the entire joint and readjust and then screw it together again. I’m still deciding where to mount it cause I want it accessible but don’t want it to be in the way so it may go outside and be subject to the weather but it’ll be accessible and I won’t have to unscrew the joint and set it back up when I want to use it. Bag holds ok in terms of air which I’ve had it inflated for over a month and it has lost a little air but not too much. I would say I’d probably use it a few times and may forget to use it again in a long while lol. ... show more

I am setting up our home gym or workout are and we have two heavy bags and two speed bags so a mount like this is very important to me, we wanted a heavy duty mount that would allow us to use the speed bag to its full potential and this is just right, high quality materials and construction means it will last for many years and do the job of hanging the speed bag for abuse.
