Installation was easy, improved performance, could hear the engine taking in more air, previous comments about missing one nut to the small bracket assembly part was true, but an easy fix,, installed on a 2016 Maxima with no problems..

The engine has a significantly different sound to it now. More meaner and it sounds like Darth Vader breathing!! I can definitely feel faster acceleration and response. I would highly suggest people to purchase this cold air intake!!

My only complaint was I was shorted a nut and the instructions pictures. The written instructions were not bad but the black and white pictures looked like a photo copy of a copy from the 80s. Okay now for the good the installation isn't that bad once you figure out the instructions. Once I got everything in there I jumped in my Maxima and took a test drive. It did not sound like the same car. It even sounded like I had put a different exhaust on. It was Throaty and was jumping up to high rpms in no time. I definitely could feel a significant increase in the engine performance. It makes your engine look cool too! . Replacement filter price is not bad and they are serviceable ( you can clean it and re-oil it.) Access to the filter is easy. ... show more

Doesn't work for my 2010 Maxima , I live in Arizona bought the Cold Air Intake in November and beginning of Spring/ Summer in AZ it doesn't work well. You will press the gas pedal trying to exit on the freeway and your car is not pushing but slowing down. Me trying to pull over and stop in the next exit. Scary as hell..... . Could of killed me. Spectre has to get the intake to drive in hot weather. Had to get a K&N intake. Works great in warmer weather. No Problems. ... show more

I purchased intake this past July 2020! So far I haven’t had any issues. You know 2014 maxima SV is already fast from my point of view. And I believe it has added an additional 10% horse power to 290HP it already from the manufacture. I’m getting used to the sound of my engine. My son installed it for me and he did a great job. He has the Spectre intake installed in he’s Mazda 3 sport and recommend it. Gas consumption wise it’s good per my opinion after installation. ... show more

The directions were almost impossible to read but it's a straight forward install. I asked questions if this would fit my 2020 Nissan Maxima SL and was told yes. The box says 2016 Maxima and the intake pipe is way off. I thought maybe I did something wrong but had someone who knows cars check it out for me and he even said it is not right. I left it installed and 100 miles later my check engine light came on with a P0101 code which was Air intake, system malfunction. This could have very well been because it wasn't getting good air flow due to the pipe being so long. I reinstalled the stock filter and sure.enough everything went back to normal. ==For the record it did sound like while it worked== ... show more
