The filter was easy to replace. Everything I read and even the automotive store says the clips that came with it should fit, but they were too thick to go through the holes. Ordered a snack pack set. Hopefully one of the types will work.

Yep, it's a fuel filter. Nothing very special. It's a direct fit for my '01 Mustang which is nice, and price was decent. but really not an item I can rave about. It does the job, but at the end of the day, it's a filter.

    • Fits my 2002 Ford Focus only after removing paint from end.
I'm the kind of person that likes keeping my older cars running if they're in good shape, so I decided to do some simple maintenance on my old 2002 Ford Focus. When I realized the fuel filter on there was the same factory filter, I decided to change with this filter. I couldn't get the painted end to properly slide into the connector, so when I pulled it out to see what the issue was, I noticed a lot of the paint chipped off in the process. I could see the paint was relatively thick for something that had to be a specific size, so I gently sanded it all off. That made the filter fit like a glove. No leaks, no issues at all; works great and this has even helped me get a much more smooth idle and much faster response time with the throttle. Amazon says this fits the 2002 Focus but the description says this fits 2003 and some newer models. It does indeed fit the 2002 Focus, but you have to remove the paint to get a good secure fit. ... show more

Filter is a perfect fit for both my Crown Vic's (2003 and 2011) and my 2002 F150. Has the included white clips (2 of them) for when the one's on the vehicle break during removal. I have used several Ecogard products in the past and they have always been quality products that are at least as good as OEM at 1/2 the price. ... show more

Did not fit a 2007 f150 5.4 motor. Fittings were 1/4 inch, needed 3/8 on my truck. Apparently some trucks from that same year are different.
