  • I like it!
Style: Roto Molded
Easy install for advanced mechanic on my 2016 5.7 Tundra trd off road! Quick delivery, great price! Sounds good. A little loud when towing a camper up hill! Noticed a very small MPG gain and a smoother acceleration! I would recommend it! One thing to note is that when you disconnect the battery and re-connect after installing this intake on the Tundra it takes a few tank fill ups for the trucks computer to re calibrate the “miles til empty” screen option in the dash. Otherwise the gas gauge is un-effected and the truck runs good! ... show more

  • Works as advertised
Style: Roto Molded
Installed in my son's 2018 5.7 Tundra. Sounds better, little more power, improved gas mileage. My son and I installed it in about an hour, and we don't have much as far as mechanical skills - if you can work a ratchet and screwdriver you can install it.

  • clear and simple instructions

trust me, I am no mechanic. took about an hour to remove the old filter and add this one.

  • K&N trd intake
Style: 50 State Legal
K&N for the win! Trd pro intake but with a better filter, all black, and better price. Motor sound is more pronounced from mid to full throttle.

  • Makes my truck sound mean!
Style: Roto Molded
I decided to go and buy this intake, I knew upfront that the intake wouldn't really increase performance, most don't. Sure it reduces air flow restrictions but doesn't compress the air. It arrives in two days with prime, I go to install it, assembly of the heat shield and mounting points takes about 15 minutes longer than it should have. As a suggestion to K&N, please for the love of God, pre-organise the hardware into marked baggies or cardboard packs. Now on to installing the heat shield, the instructions have you mount the shield into the lower factory holes but say nothing of the side mounting bracket needing to share a hole on the inside of the fender which was nearly f'n impossible to get to, no mention in the instructions because unless you remove the plastic trim and panel between the hood and the wipers you DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM!!! Squeezing your head and a hand between the hood lift piston and the hood is not fun. So ease of install was poor just because of this one mounting point. That said, it makes my truck rumble with light throttle and absolutely ROAR under heavy throttle!! That alone was worth the price of the intake and the aggravation of the install! No check engine lights, no running oddly, just pure ROAR! Increased fuel economy isn't expected when you have your foot on the floor all the time so I can't speak for that yet! ... show more

  • Very impressed
Style: Roto Molded
Very impressed with the immediate horsepower gains as advertised. I was a little intimidated at first with amount of parts and hardware but the very clear and detailed instructions made it a breeze. I wish I'd bought this sooner because my 2012 Tundra 5.7L should have sounded this good long ago. Everything fit perfectly with only a slight trimming of the heat shield gasket. Very impressed by the results for a small amount of labor. Excellent product 👌 ... show more

  • Hits all the marks!
Style: Roto Molded
Added 1 to 2 MPG, also give me greater performance off the line and on the highway! It does indeed make the vehicle louder, in a good way! Well worth the money.

  • Wakes up the 5.7, but QC lacked on this one
Style: Metal Intake
Put this in an otherwise stock '21 Tundra. Definitely sounds more aggressive, still has that Tundra whistle though. I'm now reading that is a consequence of the design of the gasket between the throttle body and the engine. Either way, this did not fix that, but it is less noticeable with the increased sound of the engine. QC was pretty crap on the aluminum version I got. The mass flow sensor would not install because the hole in the adapter wasn't machined correctly and had metal in the way of its' install. I had to dremel it out to get it to work. That's really poor quality for something in this price range. Hence the 3 stars. Looks great once properly machined and installed. Has not caused any alarms, check engine lights, etc. ... show more
