  • Very pretty and meditative
Color: Jet Black
Once I realized the top hole had to stay open, the smoke flow was perfect. I'll get some new incense as I favor scents not included in the huge numbers provided. Very happy with the purchase. These will make nice gifts.

  • cool incense burner
Color: Blue
This is a cool incense burner. It's very pretty. You use backflow incense cones and the smoke travels down like a waterfall. This does work as described but if there is ANY air movement it just blows the smoke everywhere. So even if you walk by it or breathe too hard it disrupts the smoke flow. The smell of the incense is strong. Each cone only lasts about 15 to 20 minutes. It comes with tweezers and a mat to set it on. I did not like that the cones were all in a bag, so they all smell the same. I think they should package those separately. ... show more

  • Burner is pretty but the incense is horrid!
Color: Red
The stand itself is very pretty so it gets a 3 just for the look. I got this for my meditation time and was looking forward to watching the waterfall of smoke. Well that didn't happen. By the time the smoke makes it down the hole in the cone, it is half burnt. They burn maybe 5 minutes and smell horrible. As you can see by the bag, I got almost all brown. Definitely not 'upgraded' cones. The smell is shades of 1970 highschool parties. Eek! So now I need to find some better quality cones for sure. Also, the top is uneven so the cone is a bit unsteady. I am going to set it on a glass candle plate in case a cone falls off. Fire hazard. Glad I got it on sale or it would be going back. I wouldn't buy it again. :( ... show more

  • What You Should Know Before You Buy This
Color: Blue
College student here to give an honest review. I was shaky about getting this since there were so many differing reviews, but ended up getting it anyways. A few things you may want to know (that I wish I knew before I got it): 1.) It's a little tricky at first to learn how to line up the incese cone with the hole on top since the hole on the top is kind of on a slant. Besides figuring that part out, it's fine. Definently annoying because I thought I would be able to place the cone on a flat surface and not have to deal w putting it at a slight angle and having to deal w ashes spilling on the top of the thing if the cone tipped over. 2.) The colors are a bit different than in the picture (I definitely like this coloring better though). In the picture, the top half is blue and fades to purple in the bottom half (what I ordered). The one I received is a darker blue on the top which fades into a dark brown on the bottom. 3.) If you have a fan running in any of the surrounding rooms, it will disrupt the smoke fall. Not just fans but air vents/anything that moves air in the slightest (even waving your hands will disrupt the smoke!). If you have an area where there's not much air movement, or your air vents aren't constantly pumping, then it's great. It took a couple tries to get the smoke water fall going, but when it did, I really enjoyed it. 3.) There's a little compartment at the bottom where the smoke flows into that you can place the burning incense cone to finish burning. Since the incense cone maintains it's shape as ash, it may confuse some people when they try to pick it up and it falls apart and makes a mess. Instead, when the cone is about 1/4 through burning, just pick it up with the tweezers and place it in the bottom part to finish burning. The ceramic will keep the fire and ash from spreading. 4.) If you go to Google and review some credible sights (.edu, .gov, etc), you will read that as incense burns it releases particulates into the air that are labeled as lung irritants. Not only that, but as being possibly carcinogenic (meaning it will cause cancer). In the box, a note came from the company saying to not worry about health issues, but they don't mention any of these things. I feel that everyone who wants to burn incense should be aware of this, and the company should say how they have attempted to lessen the potential effects from breathing in these air particles (or at least make everyone aware incase they want to light it constantly and are always breathing it in). 5.) The smell lingers. Personally, I really like this because I like the smell of incense and it means I don't have to light a lot of the cones constantly. Usually, I light one every few days to a week to watch the smoke water fall--but when I do light another, the scent is still there. 6.) This will require you to wipe it down once every week to two weeks. The hole where the cone burns on will build up some burnt cone residue around the hole. This is an easy fix, all you have to do is take a paper towel with some water and wipe it up (sometimes you need to put a little elbow grease into it). ... show more

  • Love the Burner But...
Color: Brown
I love the Burner, but the cones have No Scent. I will look for better backflow cones because the burner is very nice. The cones also burn very quickly, and again, I can't smell any scent at all.
