I had been eyeing this unit for a while, but I finally took the plunge and purchased. I'm really glad I did, because this bar is gorgeous and perfect for my house! It is super roomy, with space for my glass wares, bar tools, liquors, and more, and the top of it is the perfect height for mixing or pouring (bar mat and cat sold separately!!) It had minor dings on arrival, hardly concerning when it is sent via mail, but nothing noticeable enough to detract the quality. The particleboard is surprisingly heavy duty and looks and feels great, and it has no wobble at all. Assembly was reasonably easy, but you will absolutely want 2 people for it. The pieces are heavy and not designed to clumsily flop together. Overall, I love this unit and I highly suggest it for a sleek bar cabinet. Update: I've had this about a year and a half and it has endured a move and is still going strong! Took a marginal beating in the process but didn't lose integrity or get any chips and scratches.     • Installation takes a long time, Quality OK but not the best

Update: After some use I will raise my overall rating up a star to 3.5 (round to 4). The bottom left drawer seems to work a bit better with some weight in it. It can hold about 6 handles and 2-3 fifths depending on the shape/size of the bottles, which is better than I expected even after assembling it. Overall the design and storage functionality of this is great, but the installation process is the greatest barrier you will need to overcome. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I don't normally write reviews since most things I buy on Amazon are as I expect them to be. There will be two parts to this review. 1. Installation: 1 Star This piece of furniture is not easy to put together. The directions are not the easiest to follow and small mistakes add extra time. The directions state 2 hours install time for 2 adults. Maybe after doing it 3 times you can do it in 2 hours, but 4-6 hours is more realistic. Definitely much more difficult than your average Ikea piece. We also had an Ikea type screw missing (actually the screw part was there, but the outer plastic part of the screw was missing making it useless), so I had to contact customer service to send me a replacement screw which added several days of the pieces sitting out in my living room waiting to complete assembly. The customer service agent I emailed was very responsive and helped with my issue, so props to her. 2. Overall Quality: 3 Stars The piece is mostly as I would expect for the price point. Not the nicest material, but fine. I had one piece of wood come as cracked (the bottom forward facing piece that goes along the legs), but I didn't really want to wait for a new piece so I used the included marker to color in the crack. The top drawer and right door both installed nicely. The bottom left large drawer did not install as nicely and after some time of making adjustments I got it to an okay place, but it still does not pull in and out as smoothly as I would like. Just a note, but the wine holders aren't v-shaped or anything on the inside so wine bottles will roll a little bit since they aren't cradled. Not necessarily a critique, but just something to note. Final rating: 2.5 Stars I chose this piece for the price and functionality given our space. It should get the job done, but I don't think I would buy it again given all the hassle with installation and the bottom left drawer not being the best. There aren't half star rankings on Amazon, so I'll round up to 3 because customer service was responsive. ... show more

This is an OUTSTANDING piece of furniture. I've been looking for a liquor cabinet for some time. The ones at the price I wanted to pay were cheap looking and exposed all the contents. The Cabinets I liked were really expensive. When I found this South Shore Vietti Bar and Cabinet it was only slightly more expensive than I wanted to pay but appeared to have the lower visible profile that I wanted. I bit the bullet and bought it. I was not disappointed. The only way you can tell this is a bar is the six wine bottle storage in the middle. I am very happy! The finish also matched my wife's coastal style in our home. A couple more things I'd like to add. Assembly did take longer than advertised, and this is not the first cabinet I've ever assembled. However the results were worth it. Also during assembly I was using a rubber mallet to drive home the dowels provided. Sadly I drove one dowel thru the large drawer front piece. I called South Shore requesting a new front piece and hardware and received it within a week. Outstanding Service! Also I admitted to them that the damage was my fault and was willing to pay for the replacements but South Shore insisted on sending the replacement parts to me for free. If I have a future need for this type of Furniture I will be looking at the South Shore product line. ... show more

    • Don’t buy! Huge pain in the ass to build.

Building this thing was a huge pain in the ass! The directions are super vague. It doesn’t bother to label a finished side or an unfinished side, so sometimes we would screw something together and then realize down the road that it was backwards. About an hour into our build, we noticed that one of the boards didn’t have any of the pre fabricated holes for “easy” set-up. So we had to call the company and they took about a week to ship the right board, which sucks considering I bought the cabinet through Amazon Prime. Then the very top piece has no unfinished side, so we really couldn’t tell which way it went so when we went to attach the wine glass holders, we realized the holes were on the wrong side. On top of that, the wine glass holders don’t even fit a standard size glass... so we didn’t even put them in because they are useless. And to make matters worse, the pre-fabricated holes for the big drawer was in the wrong spots... the drawer would’ve stuck out by about 2 inches... we just eye-balled it and drilled our own holes... it’s still not perfect, you can see in the picture that the drawer sinks in too much... There were several times that my boyfriend gave up and said we would just return it. Even now that it’s done, we are still thinking about returning it. I spent $250 on this cabinet and it was a huge pain in the ass. Not worth the trouble. At least if the directions were clearer and bothered to describe the finished sides or even the cabinet hardware then it might be worth it. ... show more
