Love this product. We’ve used it every night for a few weeks. This portable curtains blocks out most of the light in my son’s nursery. It looks a lot better than the tin foil and black construction bags we have used in the past. I can easily take the window covering down and open the windows. When I removed the Velcro from the wall, it did not damage the paint. The material is thick and good quality. It comes with many Velcro patches if you need to reinforce the top or if there is light pollution on the sides. I love that we have the option to take it with us when my son won’t be napping at home. I love this so much but at the same time mine keeps falling down 😭 when it is hanging correctly it does exactly what I want. Keeps the sun and heat out completely and if I do want to let the light in I just need to un-velcro it. I live in an apartment and so I’m thinking maybe the layers and layers of paint they put on the walls is impacting the stickiness of the adhesive.. but the second one I have in the living room for our sliding glass door hasn’t fallen at all and I LOVE it for privacy. Highly recommend and hoping it’s just the paint job that has affected the adhesive. Plan to keep and use for other things! ... show more

    • Won't stick to wall
The shade is good quality and keeps the sun out. When it sticks.... The shade won't do you much good if it keeps falling from the wall. I got 2 days tops before the shade would fall and I've lined the top and sides with the adhesive strips.

Works so good for my babies room. The velcro didn't stick well to textured wall but since we're not using it for travel, staples did the job.

I was thinking about making something like this when I stumbled across this product. I love it, the curtain does an amazing job blocking out light and the design is so well thought out! I did have an issue with the Velcro refusing to stick to my textured walls, but I just put thumbtacks in the Velcros. Not the prettiest solution, but it’s mostly covered by my regular curtains and I really prefer having temporary blackout curtains since I only work 2.5 nights a week. ... show more

    • It really is "blackout" product!
I really like it, however, I would recommend they make a pocket at the top so a curtain rod can be used with it. We cut it in half and created a spot at top for a curtain rod so that the blackout shade can be opened up in the daytime if desired.

    • Does not stay velcro to wall
The product is shipped well and is as described. The curtain is good quality and blocks the sun when it stays up. I live in a hot dry climate and the first heat wave of over 105* days the sticky adhesive on the velcro peeled off the walls and the curtain fell down. The curtain stayed up during cooler weather,l but until it was truly needed to block the sun. I hung it again and hopfully it will stay up for the duration of the summer. ... show more

    • Absolutely no light!
I've been working nights for almost four years. Every time I bought blackout curtains, I had to double or triple layer them, or put blankets over them. I even put blackout film on my windows, plus the curtains... And light was still getting in! But this is awesome! I just put it up, and put my face up to it. Not a drop of light, at all.
