I purchased this for my 95 year old mom. It is easy for her to read and identify time of day, morning, afternoon or evening. I haven't used the alarm for appointment reminders but plan to in the future. Other residents at her assisted living are asking their family members to buy them.

We’re trying different things, it’s all so new to us but we are learning , Have my mom for 2 years now, dementia is a ugly dreaded disease that changes everyone’s life, thankful for the little things to help you through.. since I’ve bought this clock , it’s only been a week but she is not asking what day or time is it? , as much as b4 .. She has her good and bad days and some that get mixed up from night and day.. this is helping out. Let’s her know not only time but AM from PM also the day of the week to her alarms ( she’s not yet to fond of ) but the pictures of different events that go with the alarm helps. As I sit and talk to her about her appointment, It helps to involve her as we pick out the next picture to fit the appt with our next alarm pic , together.! My dad loves this clock. He says it’s works so well for him I got him another one for the room he usually sits in. It has a battery that saves all information so that if the power goes out the time and date pick right up at the current time. No resetting involved.
