I used to have a receiver attached to 7 speakers. I was tired of messing with all of the unsightly cables and decided to go with a Sonos Arc. The Arc can process Dolby Atmos better than other soundbars, but it's not really an immersive sound. Here is where the Sonos Era 300 come in. I added two and paired them with the ARC and the sound is unbelievable. I hear sound coming from the front, sides and above--the immersive feel I was looking for without the mess of cables. Of course, to play Atmos, the source must be recorded in that format. If not, you will likely end up playing Dolby 5.1--which still sound great on these speakers. ... show more

    • If you buy 2 Sonos ERA Speakers read this!!!

I bought 2 ERA 300's and 2 Sub Gen 3's. What a big mistake. If you buy 2 ERA 300's, do not buy any subwoofers!!! Not the mini or any Sub. If you have 2 ERA 300's, you will have more than enough bass. I did the TruePlay on the ERA 300's (available for Google) and I could not believe how it punched. I could go into the Sonos App and change any setting that I wanted to, to make it more for midrange, subwoofer or less. I'm telling you, having a pair of the 300's is all that you need. It was amazing. I'm going to keep my 2 Gen 3's for my Home Theater Setup paired with the Sonos ARC Soundbar and 2 ERA 100's for surrounds. This is the ultimate setup. If you want to go with 2 ERA 100's for your main setup, then I would probably add a Mini Sub if you want more bass. I'm telling you; you can mix and match this system to your heart's desire with no wires and it sounds amazing!!! FYI... I did try Bluetooth and it worked flawlessly, but it did not compare to a Wireless Connection (Internet). I would not buy this, if you are going to use Bluetooth. It is Night and Day. ... show more

AVOID SONOS!!! Buy Apple Speakers instead (I do not receive any money from these products) I've been using your speakers for about 2 months now... TERRIBLE: They spontaneous and dramatically increase the volume which has caused multiple neighbor complaints to be submitted against me. G**gle the reviews elsewhere: this is a COMMON problem!!! They jump to MAX VOLUME without warning! (when you're sleeping, in the shower or away from home! Can you imagine?) The music never resumes from where you left off. Even my 2012 Volkwagen performs that option better! They often do NOT pair with my iPhone or iPad. You have to struggle with your Bluetooth connection or the TERRIBLE Sonos app. Your app is average at best as the system never engages the 3 speakers I own. Their app is so bad, they keep retooling it and re-releasing it! That's a bad sign! Check those reviews too! This is 2024! Something as expensive as your speakers should be effortless. AVOID THIS SYSTEM. And by the way, Amazon was NO HELP and even their supervisor ("Andrew") told me I was "outta luck" and had to keep them! Then I contacted the seller through Amazon: guess what? Their phone number is disconnected. Then I contacted Sonos: "SORRY, you have to go through Amazon because we didn't sell them to you!" Oh yeah? so you gave them to Amazon for FREE??? Sonos is amazing. Expensive but well worth the cost if you want crystal clear sound. Era 300 and Move 200 together are amazing. Move is portable and carry it outside with friends over.
