I either write reviews for the most abysmal products, or the best. This one is THE BEST! I have tried the $300 Sony ANC Over Ear (Terrible Mic) I have tried the $350 Bose Quiet Comfort ANC (Great, but BT Static Sometimes) I have tried the $450 Apple Pro Max ANC (Heavy, Great Sound, Lightning Charging = No Thanks) Finally my partner said get these to try. They are light, seal well over my ears, the ANC is not AS good as Bose's but its still great. The sound quality is amazing. So far the hands free mic has been awesome as well. Bought these and the AirPod Max’s to see which I liked more. Although I have an Apple ecosystem I had to go with the Sonos for the audio quality. It wasn’t an easy choice- the quality is super similar, but the AirPod max had way too much low end for my taste. Too boomy. Hurt my ears after a while with how bass heavy it was. Wow! I thought the Apple Air Pods Max were the best on the planet. Then I tried the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones. And in my opinion, the sound wasn't quite as good, but the comfort was much better (the Max gets heavy after a while). Then Sonos Ace came out! The sound is incredible! Total immersive experience - just like Apple only somehow even better. They're not as heavy and tiresome to wear, and the battery life is simply amazing. I'm 100% sold on these. They are truly the best in the market - and cheaper than the second best! ... show more

    • Sonos ACE doesn't support its own, key Specifications!!!!, most of the time.

After using these for about a week, my overall impressions. Sound quality is good. But the key reasons I wanted these headphones don't even work as defined on the product page. 1. The headphones look ok, nothing amazing, but solid look, the sound is good, the ANC is OK, better than Anker, Not as good as Sony/Bose. The feel is NOT cheap; however, the fit is a little weird. FIT: The headphones work ok as long as I keep my head completely flat and don't look up or down. I looked up to the ceiling and the headphones DO NOT STAY IN PLACE. I tried lying down to test that out. The headphones don't stay in place while lying down, but instead slide down toward the back of the head and the earcups fall off the ears (within about 5 s.) 3. The expected functions don't work as expected. a. Lossless bluetooth is essentially a lie (and it was unclear before ordering that there were, probably more specifically what those limitations are.) But ONE chipset that is on only a couple of phones doesn't make lossless bluetooth a real thing. Minimum it should be clear whether that capability would be available BEFORE I PURCHASE !!! b. The ability to toggle my sonos ARC sound to my headphones ALSO DOES NOT WORK. It might work; however, since I do NOT have an apple phone and an APPLE phone is REQUIRED to setup this capability, it doesn't work on my headphones. c. And of course Trueplay is a promised Android capability (*promised for years and NEVER implemented that capability.) So I am now supposed to believe that they will eventually add the ACE toggle to headphones option for Android later??? NO way, I have been down that road before. ... show more

IT’S WORTH THE PRICE I tested the range by walking to a neighbor’s home >100 yards down the street. Clear as if I had taken my phone with me… astounding product. The quality of this SONOS product is, by far, the most complete. I have BOSE, Sony, and others that are fine products but the pureness of this SONOS headset is phenomenal. I tested the product for 6 hours; everything from Pavane OP50 to Chicago, to Jazz, to Michael McDonald, and Yoyo Ma. With some recordings, the rainbow of sound was so succinct that it was like hearing the piece for the first time. As an engineer, I’m embarrassed to say that this experience brought tears of spiritual happiness to my eyes. After months of daily use I must add that the ergonomics of SONOS is exceptional. If I remove the headset, the SONOS headset pauses either my iPhone or iPad source EXACTLY; and then precisely reengages when replaced over my ears. Also, because friends or family need to be heard, the SONOS headset has a button to permit ambient sound. Finally, the controls include push buttons to advance over a less-favorite piece or to repeat a favorite. This product has revolutionized audio precision.     • Finally a good alternative to the AirPods Max

I think if Apple had a mulligan for the AirPods Max they’d be the Ace. They’re better in almost every aspect. They’re lighter and SO much more comfortable than the skull-crushing, migraine-inducing Max. They have a power button. They come with an actual case instead of that ridiculous purse the Max come with. They have a similar build quality without looking too ostentatious and the noise cancellation is 98% as good. I will say I slightly prefer the sound of the Max. The Ace have a bit of a roll off in the upper frequencies so the airy reverb from say a snare drum sounds a little tinny and unnatural. Otherwise, they sound really good. Pretty well balanced, not overly bassy. I’d take them over the Max any day of the week. Or any other headphone in this price range for that matter. ... show more
