  • Very cool under a black light
Okay, so yes, I got these because they glow under a black light. In our practice room we have black lights every where and lots of tapestries, posters and such. So having these sticks was just another cool thing to have. Now don't get me wrong, our drummer really likes these sticks. Like most drummers, he normally plays with wooden sticks, but he was impressed with the quality of Sonicake sticks. In fact we have several Sonicake products in our practice room, so we are definitely aware of the quality of their product. I guess my only hesitation is the same reason I got them in the first place, they glow. Which in fact can be kind of distracting when playing. In the middle of a song, you suddenly see a green flash flying through the air, which can catch you off guard at times. But I say that jokingly, unless it comes flying in my direction, then the only saving grace is that under black lights I can actually see it coming. We still have fun with it and our drummer is very pleased with these sticks. And as I said before, they come from Sonicake, so I can definitely recommend them to any one looking to add something cool and glowing to their band practice. Thank you. ... show more

  • Cool, But Not Wooden
These will make for great showmanship, but they aren't going to give you exactly the same sound you'd get from wooden sticks. I got them with making videos in mind, not for their acoustic qualities.

  • Great and durable nylon sticks, great for beginners.
I will start off by saying I'm no drum expert. I'm new to learning and the pad I got had sticks that were inadequate, so I wanted to get these to have decent quality drum sticks that were durable. And these fulfill that role. What I can say, just based off my knowledge of sound and music is that on typical drums, these may change the sound a bit from your drums due to having different acoustics of wooden drum sticks, but on an electric drum or drum pad, these will be just fine. The color is great and I like that they come with two sets to allow mixing and matching. The nylon material is grippy in hand and provides a nice bounce. The sticks are well weighted and don't feel awkward when striking and bouncing off a drum head. Due to their nylon nature, they feel lightweight, maybe more so than most wood ones. This can change the way one drums, but as these are not necessarily targeted as professional by any means, I don't see this as a problem. They are cool, stylish, decently weighted, and more durable than wood. Overall, I can recommend them to beginners, and think that intermediate drummers looking for a cool pair of sticks can easily enjoy them more than I. ... show more

  • Not bad
I haven't tried these on any drums yet but they're pretty cool the blue ones would be really cool but they don't really blow all that much and I've had him sitting under a black light for a long time and they lose her illumination pretty quick and that's pretty cool though but just novelty

  • Fun and practical
Got these for my son to practice / bash with but they’re actually great. The green is pretty reactive under black/blue light. The blue less so. However, once charged with a strong light source, both glow pretty brightly. Standard dimensions, feel normal in the hand. Plastic has decent grip. Good weight but light enough for a little one. Overall, zero complaints. Fun set of sticks. ... show more

  • Neon fun
This is a set of two plastic drum sticks that can be "charged" with light. I got these drumsticks for my grand daughter because she is showing interest in drums. I thought they would be great for play or practice. When exposed to bright light, they will glow in the dark. I tested them for only a few minutes under a light fixture and they glowed in the dark after only minutes of exposure. The yellow sticks were much brighter than the blue. I am not a musician but they seemed to drum well and the grip was easy to hold. They seem to be well crafted for plastic sticks but I wouldn't say they are for professional use. ... show more

  • Glow in the Dark Drumsticks not Light Up
These are definitely cool drum sticks that glow in the dark. They're not, however, light-up drumsticks. You have to keep them in a well-lit area for at least an hour for them to work, and then they only glow for about 1/2 hour. Still, they are pretty cool. As far as the quality of the drumstick goes, they are a bit on the flimsy side and will bend easily. I wouldn’t bang these too hard on the drum's rim or they could snap. Nevertheless, these sticks are great for fun and hopefully, will get my beginner drummer to practice more. ... show more

  • These do not "Light Up" per the description...
These are well balanced (especially for being plastic) and look very cool. Easy to hold and use, and not crazy heavy like most acrylic/plastic sticks. They are glow-in-the-dark, blacklight reflective...so very cool...however, they say "light up" in the description which is false. Good value.
