Great price for what you get. The only thing that bothers me is how uncomfortable the seat is. I plan on buying some better cymbals but for what it’s worth, the set is great and lots of fun!

A well crafted kit for the beginner-intermediate user looking to pick up the sticks again. Assembly was self explanatory, only knock is cymbals (obviously). No expectation of anything high level, straightforward enough to upgrade when ready.

The drum set is decent, definitely a starter. Cymbals have really poor sound quality; like banging on a tin pot (actually that may sound better). The pedal also broke within a month; easy fixes for a bit more $$. Overall a good starter kit for a younger child.

The three Tom heads came wrinkled. Of course the seller blamed my installation. Interestingly, they came that way. I wrote to ask about them being that way. I got attitude. I wasn’t trying to get anything free and said upfront I knew it’s a cheesy beginner kit. Anyway, I installed killer Evans EC’s on them today. 100 times better. If your heads arrive “prewrinkled”, send the whole thing back. They’re everything sound wise. ... show more

Disappointed it was made in Wuhan China. I try to buy American and was surprised Ludwig is made in China now.

No instructions or assembly directions, you need to guess and go online for them and even then their not great videos. Heads have lots of over tones. Heads Heavily wrinkled. Both bass drum hoops bent. HOW EVER: I e-mail the store U purchased them from and less than 30mins later I received a phone call apologizing and a call later that day directly from a Ludwig rep that was fantastic! I have2 new hoops coming and all new batter heads coming which are a better grade that originally came with the kit. So I’m hopping all will be well.
