The pictures don’t do these plates justice! They are beautiful with a subtle watercolor fall design, that you can use the whole season. I like to change up my dinnerware often and use different plates for different occasions. It’s just the two of us and the set of four is perfect for us to mix into our dinnerware when the weather starts cooling off. As much as I love them, I’m only giving them 4 stars instead if 5. Which is really 3.5 rounded up to 4. Three out of the four plates have a significant amount of inclusions in the glazing, like bubbles and rough spots where grit was still on the top of the plates when glazed. That’s just sloppy workmanship and would be considered factory seconds for an outlet or discount store. I’m disappointed that sloppy craftsmanship seems to be the norm now. I’m concerned the inclusions especially the bubbles will affect the overall life of the plates with going through the dishwasher and microwave. ... show more

These plates are perfect for Thanksgiving, of course. Sliced turkey, gravy, yams, Brussels sprouts and cranberry sauce were meant to be served on these plates. The plates are also very generously sized, which is exactly the size we need for all things Thanksgiving. They’re not flat, so you won’t have any spillage from these plates, but they look almost flat, which I like. Despite their slightly old-fashioned graphic, their lack of lip, well, or rim, makes them look modern. I was surprised to see that they’re ceramic. At 11” in diameter, a ceramic plate usually weighs a whole lot more. I’ve gotten rid of entire ceramic collections just because they got to be too heavy. These are quite light for ceramic ware. I started to use them to serve an Italian dinner, but I found that the plates seemed busy for Italian food. But they were gorgeous with pancakes, eggs and bacon! They also presented pork loin, mashed potatoes and green beans beautifully. ... show more

These plates are generously sized and sturdy while still being lightweight. At 11 inches, I expected them to be heavier. I'm glad they're not. I haven't noticed any inclusions in the glazing, like bubbles and rough spots. It's quite smooth. They wipe clean easily and did great the dishwasher. The sides gently curve upward. I'm confident it will easily contain a lot of food even as it gets piled up with holiday side dishes. Because the colors and theme are natural and neutral, we've already put these out (anticipating Fall) and will leave them up until we switch to holiday plates in December. From the start, when I was unpacking the plates, I could see the company cared that the plates reached the customer undamaged. These large plates are beautiful, and of a good weight and diameter. We wanted a few new dishes for our kitchen and these are a noticeable improvement. Cleanup is easy, since they can be washed in the dishwasher. It will be a pleasure to serve meals this fall on such wonderful plates. Highly recommend these--5/5 rating. Each time we have ordered Sonemone dishes, they have come in packaging suitable for the finest gift giving occasions (I'm thinking weddings). ... show more

Wow,A whopping 11in dinner plate. A tad bit larger than my previous set and I am truly impressed with the quality of this entire set. From its size to its great design. Sonemone has outdone itself with this collection. This set has a wholesome feel of Fall, makes you think of the crisps airy, cooler days ahead of us. The smells of Pumpkin spices cooking. These large dinner plates are pumpkin themed for fall. The print isn’t traditional colors you’d expect for fall themed dishes. Instead of yellows, oranges and browns, these are sage green, tomato orange and peach. The leaves are in browns and green shades. Because of not being the traditional fall colors, they could be for other seasons. One thing that makes these plates attractive is that the design isn’t printed on a solid white background.
