The media could not be loaded. This torch delivers on everything it promises. The packaging it came in was simple and protective which I appreciated. Turning it on and off is simple and pretty foolproof. It took a few tries to light it properly (you have to barely turn the gas on to get it to work) but once I figured that out, it lit quickly and easily every time. The grip/handle is comfortable and the nozzle is wide to cover a good area of a steak or veggies in a single pass. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and I can't wait to try it on all kinds of foods. If you had a charcoal grill, I would totally get it just to start the coals. Forget lighter fluid or chimney starters, once you've tried this, there's no going back! This torch is outstanding when it lights. You can light lump charcoal and be cooking very quickly. I have tried different fire starters and this beats them all, hands down. However, there are times when the igniter does not ignite the propane and then you are left with using a lighter to light the torch...so counter-productive and extremely frustrating. I would give it 5 stars if the igniter worked properly all of the time. I have learned that holding the torch in an upward angle when igniting provides the most effective result but this still should not be something you have to deal with. ... show more

I have annoying spiders in my backyard. It’s impossible the clean the webs because it sticks to whatever you use. So….nothing like a powerful torch to dissolve the webs and bbq the spiders. Of course , I also use it to light up my bbq coal . Works well too

It is what it says it is. Arrived quickly and looks very sturdy. I was impressed with the quality of the product and the packaging. It is also pretty easy to use, screwed right on to one of my green propane tanks. The only reason I would dock it a 1/2 point is I had to use a lighter to get it going the first time as it would not ignite on its own. It's a pretty good torch for the price. It does work well for starting up charcoal briquets or other fire for sure. It has a strong intense fame that projects out about 8"-10" and therein lies the problem with trying to use it to char foods. Sure it works great if you're using over a grill, but I can use my grill to char my food. But when trying to use it on a solid surface, But to avoid overheating the surface you hold it so the flame is nearly parallel with that surface... say about 15-20 degrees. Otherwise you will really heat that surface up too. For instance, it can easily melt tin foil. It's surprisingly effective at heating for the price. But if you want something more precisely controllable with less splash... you'll have to get one of those smaller torches or pony up for the one the pros use. ... show more
