  • Great deal and quiet
Seems to work really good love the glass bowl and stainless steel bowl especially the glass really nice and quiet compared to our old one made out of all plastic. Chops great so far love the dual level blades and the price is an astronomical deal compared to a lot of well made name brand

  • Delivers in seconds.
The media could not be loaded. I opened the package and happy with what I saw. The food processor is huge. I like that it has two bowls and no matter the photos displayed in web page, I will use the metal one for the meat. Came with clear instructions for using it, including the things that can be processed, among other information. The blades came well protected and they are very sharp. The machine is efficient and delivers in seconds. I wanted a food processor big enough for doing my “sofrito”, a basic component for creole cooking. I usually do it in a blender, and I was curious of how it will be done in a food processor. For some recipes I chop my vegetables in a small food processor that I have, so that I can obtain small pieces, but for a sofrito I like it to be well mix and like purée. The disadvantage of the blender is that garlic doesn’t grind well, and for the other vegetables I have to push down them and sometimes add a little water for easy of blending. Also I have to make the sofrito in 2 portions because there it’s not much space for all the sofrito ingredients. The photos speak for themselves. I started with the garlic and just with one pulse was a little chunky, but I wanted it to be purée. The same with the onions, and the other greens added. The only water I used was the one remained in the vegetables after I washed them. For my surprise, and I’m glad, all the ingredients fit in same batch, although I added them one by one, opened the container and observe. Just push for few seconds, and the machine never overheat. For the final mix I took a little more time, but less than 30 seconds. I was testing the limits, just in case. The final product was excellent, of a great green color. For next time I’m confident that I can added all ingredients at same time and blend them, although I like to open the container for checking. After using the processor I washed everything and put the sleeves on the blades for extra protection during storage. I don’t think I will remove the blades, I don’t need that, and for me is too dangerous. Also, I will check and learn how it will work with the cheese, and also with the meat. Using this processor will be a learning process for me. So far, I’m very satisfied with this item and it’s exactly what I wanted. ... show more

  • Nice Entry-Level Blender
The media could not be loaded. I needed to try out this blender because it looked like an interesting in-between of an immersion blender and a traditional food processor. A little beefier than you standard 3-cup food processor or hand immersion blender, but not quite stacking up to the stalwart bottom-mounted motor food processors. The motor is powerful enough to chop up most vegetable or fruits for various sauces, soups, salads, or whatever you're preparing. The inclusion of metal and glass bowls is very thoughtful and will let this appliance grow with the emerging home chef who is refining their recipes. However, at some point this machines will hit it's limits, with tasks like making peanut butter, chopping heavy meats, or grating hard cheeses, all within the purview of the traditional bottom-mount motor designs. There are a lot of other nice things that can be said about this food process, including the non-slip rings for each bowl and blade guards that can be reused if you want. One nice feature does strike me as a bit precarious and that is the removable top blade from the blade spindle. It's nice that it makes the blades easy to clean, reinserting it onto the spindle can be a bit dangerous since you are pushing your fingers against the blade in order to secure. Also, the blades and spindle themselves do not appear to be the same build quality as the rest of the unit, which is somewhat disappointing, but their lightness does make the unit somewhat quieter. My final impression of this unit is that it will serve very well for someone in a new apartment or home that's looking to stock up their kitchen with a few essential while they move into how they want their kitchen to flow. They may be fond of food processors and keep this unit all the way through it's expected service life, but if they are not, they're not heavily invested in a high-end food processor that will weigh down a shelf. As long as you respect it's limits, this unit will deliver lots of aide to a busy home kitchen. ... show more

  • Powerhouse
The media could not be loaded. The only thing I've used this for so far is chopping veggies, but it is so powerful that I had to be careful to not end up with soup! I like to very finely chop green peppers and onions for anything I use them in, I don't care for finding chunks of them in my dishes. I cut a large onion into about 6 pieces and threw them in the chopper, it had them done in about 3 seconds. I added colored peppers and pulsed again, I had gorgeous puree. Carrots? No problem. Celery? Be careful unless you like celery soup! I really think this chopper can do anything. I will say that you need a fair bit of food in it to get good results, otherwise it gets thrown on the sides and stays there. The bowls are quite large and can handle whatever you throw at them. I even made almond flour in this, dump in the almonds and pulse till flour! I do like having 2 bowls, I can do one food in the glass bowl, rinse the blade off and do a different food in the stainless steel bowl. Both bowls have a removable silicone ring around the bottom edge that keeps the bowl stable. The glass bowl is heavy enough and nice enough to serve out of (like homemade salsa). I highly recommend starting with the lower setting until you see how it will work with your chosen food. ... show more
