  • Worth the extra cost vs non self lighting top!!!
Model: 2301
I have the lower end version of this product, no igniter. got at home depot in package with a tank, and refilled tanks over n over til the old one broke. this slightly more expensive BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! you dont need to fool around with a second lighter to ignite torch which didnt bother me much, the real key here is the flame. the lower end model shoots a straight beam. where this has a slight 3 prong flare out just a bit which makes the spread of heat much more even and easy to use. also it turns off way faster, never need to blow out flame, old one would be slow to stop gas and keep small flame running, this thing is the real deal! ... show more

  • Not for smoking/bong
Model: 2301
Very high strong flame..I normally use torch lighters but Walmart substituted a propane tank for a can of butane I ordered, and my torch was stolen..so I got this for tank of butane I got..it works great if ur welding or soldering something, but to smoke it's very difficult to turn flame down so low without it going out completely.. ... show more

  • Good luck using it when it's cold
Model: 2301
Torch refuses to light due to whatever component that regulates propane flow... worse yet when it's cold out. Maybe at the initial light-up it will take off, but if it doesn't it will NOT light whatsoever because not enough propane flow. Go for the more expensive versions, or with another brand is the only way. ... show more

  • Quality torch head
Model: 2301
Anything bernzomatic is always a high quality product. Works every time, got this model to replacement my old one that broke due to falling off my desk with the bottle attached. If you're on the head about a quality torch head, look no further

  • That it works properly
Model: 2301
I just got my new bernzomatic torch head, Instantly works perfect. Last week I bought a different brand, a cheaper one, it worked about 5 minutes, I'm sending it back. I should have known to replace my 25 year old one with the same brand. I am now going to order another one for in the house to light the wood stove also. Thanks ... show more

  • Don't expect too much from the trigger
Model: 2301
I don't know how durable torch itself is as I've only had it a few days. The trigger worked the first time I used it. However it seems to be defective or poor quality. It works maybe....1/3 of the time. Not 1/3 of the clicks, but 1/3 of the times I tried to light it. It always takes like 5 or 6 clicks to get it going and seems touchy to how open the valve is turned. It works fine though if I use a lighter. The flame I'd adequate for my use. I guess I shouldn't expect much from a very inexpensive torch with a piezo trigger. Sorta a shame it doesn't work though. It would be a great buy if it did. ... show more
