Wi-fi App gives you the ability to cool or heat your room anywhere, anytime from your smart device using Wi-Fi and the Soleus Air app. Because of Soleus’ industry-exclusive Saddle design, the unit sits low and over the wall, eliminating the chances of the unit falling out of the window and any need to drill holes in the window for support. Sleep Mode automatically moderates set temperatures at night to conserve energy, ultimately lowering your utility bills. Works just great. Heavy at 67 pounds but was easy to install because its shape made it easy to grip and pivot it on my body to ease it in and I installed it. We were able to fit this in a 19 inch wide window without using the side expanders. Only 500 watts - so plugged into a normal 20 Amp outlet we had below the window. Cools fast, and pretty quiet compared to a normal AC. Put it in low fan, econo mode and it gets vert quiet. It's great looking, has an awesome remote and for us the WiFi access via phone is very useful. So far we are very happy with this unit and recommend it - 5 stars ... show more

My husband and I were excited to receive this air conditioner with heat. However, the box arrived damaged. When we opened the box the unit was (severely) dented. The unit doesn't cool very well and the timer doesn't work. Definitely not worth the (over) $650.00 that we paid for this unit.

Product works well in cooling my large upstairs room over my garage... but... 1) Overly expensive, but the only unit I could find that was U shaped (so didn't have to worry about it falling on someone) and also offered heating. 2) It does make a loud interior buzzing noise (which I assume is the fan hitting something). 3) It came with two small mounting legs (which were too small for my install but on the parts list) and ONE longer mounting leg... ONE (not on parts list). So I had to use the two smaller ones and pad the unit with some Styrofoam to keep it tight and level on my window. Unsure why they would send ONE. ... show more

It is very quiet on the "Quiet" and "Sleep" settings, even though it seems to me that it was more quiet during the first two weeks of using it. But that might be just my impression. Much better to sleep with! Installation was not too difficult, but we certainly needed two people to lift it.

My windows are all the sliding sort. I have in the past made window air conditioners work in them, but this one is quiet and efficient in a way that they never were. This summer, we have had temperatures well over 100 degrees and have been able to stay comfortable. The air conditioner is heavy, but with the help of a strong man to get it lifted into place, the installation was very easy. I also purchased the window kit, which made installation simple, but if you have the patience to cut an acrylic sheet to size, that would also work.
