Night vision✅ Picture quality ✅ The area I needed a camera only gets sun for a few hours a day in the very far back of my yard. So I had a few concerns… 1. WiFi signal strength 2. Solar charging on limited sun. Both have not been an issue. The camera has been working great and the battery hardly discharges. It has no issues keeping %100 charge with only 2-3 hours of direct sunlight to charge. The unit is also mounted on a back shed approx. 100 ft away from the router and it has no issues connecting. This is my first set of the battery cameras with the solar recharging. These are true to the brand and they work great. They have amazing range with the included base station.     • SOLAR power cables are not “flippable” USB C

After installation two of the four cameras were not charging. Flipping the USB C connectors from the solar panels on those cameras solved the problem. It would be nice if the base station had a USB C thunderbolt interface to allow me to plug in an inexpensive 1 TB SSD for complete standalone off grid recording at my camp up on Lake Superior which lacks cell or internet coverage ... show more

This is a great security camera system. It's perfect for installing in locations that don't have a wall outlet. Hook up the solar panels to the camera and the camera will remain fully charged. Everything was very easy to get setup. The app is straightforward and feature rich. You can set up motion alerts and schedules.     • wanted to test these against my pair of name brand survellience cameras

And these stand up well to my similarly made name brand security cams at a lower price. I won't or can't say these are tons better or even that they are not as good either - they are very similar. First, my name brand has a hub similar to this pair of cams and I like that. I have tried single, solar-powered wi-fi cams and unless I put in a mini-SD card, they have no recording or history to review. The hub, if I understand it, is where the history "lives" for a time. It may not hold or store much history, but when I get the notification on my phone that a person or movement has been identified, I will look at what that is and that releases that bit of "history" from the hub. What I can say is that these are easy to set up - the hub is attached to my router by cable and the cams "talk" to the hub. I'm no tech person, but having tried the stand-alone solar wi-fi cams versus the hub style like this set, I prefer the hub as it seems more versatile and stable. I mentioned solar - I have one security cam that is a plug in and for where it it, it works fine, but I absolutey do prefer solar-panel security cams as they can be put anywhere - anywhere that isn't close to an outdoor electric outlet. The solar panels are small and easy to mount and with the connecting cable, the solar panel can be placed further away from the cam where it receives more light if necessary. The camera mount is decent, but if I were to make a change or update this system it would be a "hat" or cover over the top of this pair of cameras. See, they are similarly designed to my other name brand set and I have had to purchase these rubber caps that popped on the top of each camera to provide a bit of cover from rain. That's the problem - when it rains, the picture quality is moot - the rain obscures the screens! With my name brand set, the pop on covers have made them much more usable during rainstorms and I'm just saying that this set, either change the front of the cam to have an overhang for the lens or add in a pair of covers that the customer can pop on the top of each camera like I will be doing. ... show more

The Aosu security camera system exceeded my expectations and fulfilled all my requirements perfectly. Setting up the cameras and solar panels outside our home was incredibly easy, my husband mentioned it was the fastest setup he's ever done. The absence of cords adds to the neat and organized appearance. I appreciate that the cameras are solar-powered, eliminating the need for charging or batteries, which simplifies things greatly. The solar functionality is perfect in the Florida environment. I hope it can withstand some heavy winds come hurricane season, so we shall see. The picture quality is outstanding both day and night, with the added bonus of color night vision. Monitoring on my phone provides clear and vivid images, and the motion-activated lights are bright and effective. The user-friendly app sends real-time notifications, no subscription needed! This is saving us money in the long run.
