Since cord is built into light, how easy are replacements going to be to find? Flashlight seems to turn on every time I power on the unit. I was on the market for “something” to provide a minimal amount of power to my tent while camping for charging phones, light source, whatever, and wanted the option to solar charge. I don’t like to pay for electrical sites or be reliant on them in case of emergency with the phones, etc. I like the option to safely go off the beaten path. It was packaged securely in the product’s box with accessories included. Easy to open. Immediately plugged the solar charger in and placed it near my sunniest window. It had no problem charging. Didn’t take it long to charge to its first full charge from probably 75%. Also, the solar panel is more durable than it looks. Via the photos, it could have gone either way, but it’s actually pretty solid. Tested the lights. They are LED bright, with simple on/off switch, no brightness adjustment. For my tent, only one is needed to illuminate the whole tent, but the cords are long enough to string through the cord holes and use outdoor as well. The material of the unit is a hard, sturdy plastic. Seems to be very durable. The instructions say to power down phones before charging. It is a trickle charge. Works for what I need it for, but it’s not the unit you can plug your phone into and play games or watch movies. Since purchasing, I’ve found it does basically serve my needs for camping, but it’s also been useful for a portable light source for nighttime fishing and working in low-lit areas at night. Just string them into a tree branch or whatever and you’re good to go! I have the unit 4 out of 5 stars due to being a little shocked at the unit’s battery capacity. Like I said, it didn’t take much time to charge.. Just this last weekend, my stepdaughter woke up in the tent just before the sun came up when it was most dark and got a little scared. She flipped on one light and fell back asleep. By the time the sun was up and the birds were chirping us awake, the unit was completely draining. But the solar unit was right outside the tent and was already back at recharging! So still more on the convenient side. ... show more

Our power went out for 3 days. I just used one bulb, since it uses less power than three bulbs. I charge it ever month by plugging it in as it says to do to keep it charged. It worked great. I wish the charge lasted longer. It is not water proof. I charged it last time with the solar panel. It charged as I expected it would. four hours. The light bulbs are very bright. I wish the bluetooth would not connect or try to connect everytime I turn it on though. The speaker is alright for a small area. If you want something for outages when the sun isnt out then no. If you have a generator you can charge it that way or with full sun daily if your power is still out. ... show more

I got this and thought it was a great idea for camping #1 First and for most, nothing on this is waterproof, not even the solar panel. Major design flaw, for a CAMPING/emergency device #2 I used it out of the box to charge another power bank, and it completely drained the battery. That is fine,what I expected. But it does not seem to have a long battery life. #3 I tried to charge it again and it never fully charged even in full sun for 2 days. Then I used the light bulb in my car as I was sleeping. So there should have been no drain as I had the light off. When I needed the light, the batter was completely dead again. From the Bluetooth trying to connect? #4 I let it charge all day again in full sun. It got slightly moist, as will happen in nature, and it died. However, even off and no longer functioning as it should, it would occasionally blink all night long. #5 it is really crappily made. I think that even if it did work in a few trips it would be broken and destroyed. ... show more

Anyone buying this should go into it knowing that the unit is unfit as any kind of primary emergency or backup power source. It's only viable as a specialized backup to any other generator or battery bank you may have. It has a cheap build quality, complete with the sound of something rattling around inside. And I'd never trust it to withstand the elements, or even any kind of minor abuse. Even as just an option to charge phones during a power outage, this doesn't excell. There are far better options for something like that. However, where I do think this unit has value is as a strong light source with solar recharge capabilities. The three LED bulbs it comes with are really bright and clear. Having just one on cast a very comfortable amount of light through my living room. But keep in mind that the bulbs are not USB powered. They use their own 3.7V plug. So, finding replacements if they should break may be difficult. Having said all that, if you're just looking for a good supplemental light source to take some of the burden off your main battery bank, this seems like a good option for an affordable price ... show more
