Got this bike last week been on 4 rides. Pros Comfortable to ride Battery is good a 20 to 25 mile ride uses half charge. Easy to assemble (use the video) Motor has enough power to go uphill at about 6mph for a steep hill without pedaling Cons Slow charging Heavy bike The pedal assist is rough. The magnetic sensor sets motor speed no matter how you pedal I find the bike works best if you put the assist level at 1 and use the throttle for how hard you want to work. I gave bike 5 star not because it is a high end bike but it is simple sturdy and good value for the money. I am 165 lbs and the bike has enough power to have fun with 500 watt motor. If I weighed over 200 lbs + I would upgrade to the 750 watt motor but the bike is fun and good for the money. Not a fast bike about 15 mph on flat roadaverage speed and it can hit 20 going downhill but drops to 6 mph going up a steep hill.(slowest it went) I would recommend this bike as a good entry level bike. I did a lot of research on electric bikes before purchasing this one. Went to several bike stores rode some very nice very expensive bikes. Started looking around online and saw the Sohoo E bike. Read the reviews saw how great the customer service was and thought I’ll give this one a try. Purchased the bike and it shipped within a week - it arrived mostly put together. Easy to assemble the handlebars the front tire the fenders but that’s really about it. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. It had a few scrapes and scratches on it as the box was pretty damaged when it arrived but I called the customer service line and immediately got somebody who FaceTimed me back. He looked the bike over made some suggestions and took $50 off and sent me some touch up paint for free. I was super thrilled with the customer service. As far as the bike goes it is a blast! In the power level three with use of the throttle, I’ve had it up to about 22 mph Without peddling! In manual mode, it sails through the gears with no problem and the throttle on steep hills is awesome! Front and rear disc brakes, digital readout on your speed the miles you’ve gone the different modes and gears. It has a light, a horn, and brake lights that all work off the battery. Super cool. I’ve been having so much fun I’m glad I purchased this. Sure you can go out and get more expensive bikes but for me this is absolutely perfect. It weighs about 70 pounds so it’s pretty heavy, but I managed to do just fine. The frame is heavy duty the seat is nice and wide so it is a very comfortable ride. I’m 5’ 6” and I fit well on this bike. I wouldn’t be able to go any bigger lol. If you’re looking for a fun bike, at a decent price, with great customer service, you can’t go wrong with this bike. So far battery life seems to be great! First time I took it out I was out for about 5 miles and came back the battery hadn’t changed a bit. Second time I took it out did about 15 miles on it again the battery never fluctuated. Says it will go about 60 miles on one charge takes about three hours to get a full charge back. ❣️ ... show more

This e-bike is generally of excellent quality and was fairly easy to assemble. The ride is very good and quiet. The progressive pedal assist power is adequate on hilly terrain, which was very important on my decision to purchase. The only problem I encountered during unboxing and assembly was the spacing bolt for the front fork had fallen out during shipment and it took some work to separate it enough to properly mount the front wheel/tire. Overall, this e-bike seems to be a good sweet spot between a commuter bike and mountain bike. P.S. to Jennifer re her review of 5/11. My wife had the same seat height issue as you did. I got a replacement seat pole without a shock absorber and it lowered the seat by over 1&1/2 inches. She can now get on and off her bike with no problems. ... show more

    • Excellent product backed up by incredible Customer Service
This bike is better than I ever imagined and at an amazingly low price, packed full of features. I as a senior citizen wanted to purchase my first ebike and did a lot of research as to what was available, what had a reasonable first time price, what had great reviews and most importantly to me what had great customer service. I mean let’s face it no matter how nice or good the price without great customer service it’s all a waste of money. I received the bike in about 4 days and the very simple assembly took about 30 minutes and finally charge the battery and I was ready to go. The bicycle rides and runs like a dream, absolutely amazing. Everywhere I went people stopped me to say how great the bike looked and asked where I got it. I have recommended this bike to everyone I met and will continue to do so. My first day I rode 15 miles without being winded or tired, it was a breeze. I know you probably won’t believe this but my battery still shows a full charge! The disc breaks work effortlessly, and the shifting is smooth and accurate. The horn is very loud ,headlight and rear light bright and one of my favorite features the rear break light is bright and gives a sense of comfort in traffic. The only draw back I found was the assembly instructions could use a little better translation but I got help with that also. I needed better clarification on the actual battery and indicator so I emailed Sohoo Bike and expected a reply within a few days, boy was I surprised when I received a phone call 20 minutes later from one of their customer service representatives who took the time to answer every question I had. I’m so excited by this bike I feel like I should be a salesman for them. Excellent bike, phenomenal price, outstanding customer service, what else can anyone ask for ( especially us seniors on a fixed income). I recommend this Sohoo Bike for everyone and check out their other models, just great bikes with real customer service and support. ... show more
