I bought it because my weight fluctuates. Usually just bigger and I liked the elastic. I didn’t realize it has a zipper too so I hope the elastic isn’t for show. It’s already pretty snug so I hope it’s not too tight if I gain some weight. I’m tired of having to get rid of nice things. Love the color in person. For the price point, the skirt is well made- lined, and thick outer layer. I haven’t worn it, so I’m unsure how well it holds up. It looks like the picture, as far as the pattern/color. My one complaint is the excessive fabric at the hip area- if your hips are curvy like mine, it may make them appear bigger than they actually are (I’m able to grab extra fabric at the hip areas, and still have plenty of room). I don’t love the extra hippy look on me, but I do like the skirt, and will keep the skirt and work with it (maybe have it altered a bit). Ordered size Small. ... show more

I got this skirt for my first renaissance fair this fall and it worked out amazingly. The skirt is nice and thick but not too sweaty underneath after walking around all day, super soft, and the stretch is fantastic. Super comfy. For size reference, I'm 5'8", 210lbs, and the size I ordered fit me very well. Not too large, not too small. I got lots of compliments on this skirt at the fair! I ordered the skirt in “navy”. It’s actually black with green, brown and camel plaid as opposed to what looks like navy blue with black and cream in the photo. I still like this color, but the cut of the skirt and the pleats in the back make it a little on the frumpy side so I might return it. Also, I wear a size 8, but I’m glad I ordered the size large in this skirt because it fits just right and the medium I debated on getting would have been way too small. ... show more

I was worried about ordering this skirt, as I've found brown plaid patterns to be hit or miss in the past. However, I absolutely love it. The color is nice and the skirt itself is super comfortable. I'm also on the shorter side and typically have trouble finding skirts that are an appropriate length, but the length of this skirt is just right! The only real criticism I have is that the waist fits a little weird on me and the materials the skirt is made of make it a bit hot, but these are both very minor issues. ... show more
