I love this machine! I am addicted to bubbles and I finally decided to make them myself instead of spending all of my money on carbonated beverages. I am so glad I did! This little machine is so easy to use and so basic. It does not need to be plugged in and you don't need any display, just press the button for the amount of times that you want your beverage to be carbonated and poof! You're done. As other reviewers have stated, there is no need for the fancy stuff; go basic and that's all you need. I also really like the glass carafes. They are very sturdy and thick and will hold up well over time, I believe better than the plastic. They are definitely much better for the environment, so a better carbon footprint. Overall, the whole process is super quick and easy, and although I have not exchanged my canisters yet, I looked it up on the sodastream website and it looks like that will be super easy and good for the environment as well. It will save me quite a bit of money and help the environment by using far less single-use plastic. I really like being able to control the amount of carbonation I use, and the variety of different drink mixes I can make are great as well. If you drink carbonated beverages frequently, get this! I love this product even though the base is broken away from the unit. It still works. I called sodastream customer service 4 times to discuss. They told me that they no longer made that product, And would be happy to send me a replacement, but it would be an electric version With the glass carafes. I did not want an electric version so I refused it. I left it with them that should it ever stopped working completely broken base and all I would still be able to receive the electric version. It is easy to use, has great glass bottles, and makes lovely fizzy water that lasts several days before losing fizz. Fizz is best and holds longer if you fizz already cold water rather than straight-from-the-tap water. I've been using this since August of 2022, and almost daily. The machine is still working as well as the first day I started using it. I had trouble getting it to fizz the water at first, but after a call to customer service, they explained what I should do, and it has worked perfectly since then. My only complaint would be that the instructions are not great. I love the glass bottles, from the look to the feel of them, and they (and the lids) are almost indestructible, a plus since I tend to drop things a lot, but have never broken them. There is a lot to like about this Sodastream - I highly recommend. Pros: - Super easy to use and load - easier than other’s I’ve used - The glass bottles are nicer to look at than the normal sodastream bottles and can be easily washed in the dishwasher Cons: - The unit is fairly tall - be sure to measure under your counter to make sure you have the space - The glass bottles only hold about 2 full glasses in each of them - I would like for this to be a little bit bigger Overall I am very happy with this, and the package we purchased came with three glass bottles which allows for us to always have something cole and available. ... show more

I had never used this type of seltzer maker before. Had it now for 2 days. It works real well. The water is just as fizzy as the bottled seltzer from the store. The 2 glass bottles hold pressure, the water stays fizzy in the fridge. The best part of this are the glass bottles. We prefer glass over plastic containers for our food. ... show more

Overall I was definitely using this, but I went through the CO2 too quickly and it's slow and rather expensive to order replacements. And it was very hit or miss finding local places that actually had the CO2 refills in stock. I was going through one tiny tank every week or so. And considering the hassle its become finding refills those tanks were making this not worth even a fraction of the money. Maybe if they gave the device away for free and recouped the cost via refills which is where they have to actually be making the money anyways. The instructions leave a lot out and don't help very much. When they talk about "beeps" they mean the farting noise this thing makes when it over pressures "something" in it. Then however on EBAY I spent like $30 to buy a hose to hook this to real CO2 tank which I should have to refill once every 6 months... except the unit stopped working right. So then $150 for a tank and then I can exchange the tanks for $20 at one place that even delivers in town... seemed like a real win for once with this. Unfortunately something seems to have broken in this unit. It's constantly leaking a little CO2 and clicks when I slide the cover down and doesn't carbonate very much at all now before it gives the warning "beeps" And in the process of inspecting the device I took the hose off without releasing the pressure first and ruined the connector. So I'm pretty unhappy with this and really would not recommend it at all. The only good thing about it really is that it lets you carbonate water in GLASS containers instead of plastic. Otherwise The CONS 1) the instructions are inadequate 2) its awkward to use 3) refills are hard to find either online or locally 4) it broke after maybe 6 months The PROS 1) you can carbonate water cheaply without the constant waste of throwing away bottles 2) you can do it in glass bottles or moderately reasonable size ... show more
