I'm a 25 year old guy that needed to solve the problem of "thing that keeps me warm but hands free" for my mother who's 45. She often just uses a nappy old hoodie and flips it around and uses it when she's laying in her bed watching some Tudor drama. So I thought, "cool, great, she wants a Snuggie". Part of it was a gag gift and the other part was me honestly trying to solve the issue. Turns out she LOVES this thing but I wish the memory of seeing her trying to put it on was wiped from my brain. "How do I put it on? Like this? Why are there sleeves?" echoed through my head after Christmas morning. After becoming Prometheus and giving her "fire" via a highly marketable blanket with sleeves that dominated TV, she's been adamant on wearing this in the past 24 hours. She even uses a cord to make it into a "backless toga" when preparing coffee, much to my chagrin. Words of Caution: If you KNOW beyond reasonable doubt the person you're buying for (or yourself) will love it, toss this in the wash before wrapping it, it smelled worse than my 8th grade gym clothes after leaving it in the locker. But that's not a sign of lack of quality, it's most likely a manufacturing thing/wherever it comes from. Best of luck to those hunting for gifts but I hope this openly honest review satisfies any questions. ... show more

    • It’s just like my old Snuggie....but with Sherpa and a tad more stylish!

I am not gonna lie....I LOVED my old Snuggie Plush! I loved it so much that I thought I’d try the newest version, which everyone is raving about. Well, here is an honest review, from someone who loved/loves their Snuggie Plush FAR more than is acceptable. First, the Sherpa is really soft, and the Snuggie is thick. It’s warm and a little more stylish than the original ones, so if I didn’t have anything to compare it to, I think I’d be completely happy. The issues I have with this Snuggie are as follows: 1) The outside of the Snuggie feels like faux suede...and it’s not comfortable to put my hands on. I know that sounds silly, but if I want to lay on the couch and wear my Snuggie, I shouldn’t need to find a “soft spot” to place my hands because the texture of the outside is unpleasant. 2) I know Sherpas are prone to shedding little fuzz-balls, but this is excessive. It just keeps shedding and shedding. 3) The seam where the Sherpa and the “faux suede” come together is really rough, and it’s completely unavoidable. I don’t like it....and I wish there was a way to make it softer or hide the seams. So, in a nutshell, the Snuggie is good, especially if you’ve never had the opportunity to enjoy their previous Snuggie Plush. If I could order a plush again, I would...but since the only real options are the Snuggie and the Snuggie Sherpa...I would say the Sherpa is the way to go. ... show more
