  • Light ans indestructable
Color: Titanium
This is a great utensil. I use it for camping, sure, but ti works great for regular food at home too. Anything that's a casserole is better with a spork.

  • Always wanted a spork!
Color: Titanium
Texture was rough and reminded me of the wooden spoons that come with stadium malt cups. The texture annoyed me so I smoothed it out with 400 grit sandpaper and now it's perfect. Wide enough to work with soup and tines are long enough to stab solid food. Super light and nice natural Ti color. Love it! ... show more

  • Exactly what I was looking for.
Color: Titanium
Who doesn't love sporks? I didn't want to keep using disposable sporks because of all the unnecessary waste that produces. I just wanted a sturdy metal spork that wasn't too big or too small and didn't have one of those serrated edges that a lot of sporks trying to double (triple?) as knives have. This fit the bill perfectly. Been using it for a while now and it's held up just fine. Not much else to say- it's a good spork. ... show more

  • Love this spork, it is so handy for lunch, small and light weight.
Color: Titanium
What a great invention, the spork, a spoon and fork in one. I love snow peak products, i think they are so well made and designed to make life a bit more interesting. This titanium spork is not exception. I have another brand of spork and it is not quite as nice. The edges are rather too sharp and it is a bi too small and short to be used comfortably. The tines are too pointed and needle like as well. It also feels a bit too light and thin, and feels just cheap. This snow peak spork is the exact opposite, it is a bit longer, the material is a bit thicker, has nice rounded edges and the tines are less needle like. And just being made of titanium makes it tasteless. Some metals can react to different foods and leave a taste, but titanium is ventral. It also is not very reactive to heat either, so if you happen to cooking with it, the heat doesn’t transfer up the handle as much. Just an FYI, if you need more fork than spoon, snow peak also makes a foon, The foon has longer tines and a shallow spoon part, a bit interesting in shape, but I guess sometimes you need more fork. ... show more

  • The perfection will make you weep
Color: Titanium
I don't know why a titanium spork is such a fun thing to own. But it is. I got mine as a gift and I.. just.. like.. using it. Maybe it's because what you have here is a final experience, the idealized form of a piece of technology. It's as tough as steel, it's light, it's utterly non-toxic, manages hot food without a problem, scoops up yogurt, soup and stew with aplomb, spears meat and vegys without trouble. It cleans up trivially. It will probably last about a billion years in typical use. It's got a simple, appealing shape. There's no way to improve on it. You look at it, and just know that in five hundred years, it will still be the utter epitome of utensilness. Hold it in your hand, and you feel like mankind has achieved something, finally made something that's perfect, that just works without a glitch. That's not a feeling you get often. You don't get it looking at your car, your children, your new cell phone, or your Windows PC. But you can feel it when you own this spork, and the feeling is one of relief. Finally, something in your life that just Does The Job. When mankind faces final judgment, or the heat death of the universe, or whatever ending you believe in, you'll be able to hold up your titanium spork and say "Yes, I know, mankind didn't measure up to expectations. We got a lot wrong. But look... we totally NAILED this concept." The titanium spork truly divides human accomplishment into a Before and an After. Buy one. ... show more

  • Nice spork, turns yellow.
Color: Titanium
Love these sporks. The colored ones aren't dishwasher safe, but what are you going to do? Wash them by hand? These purple ones turn yellow after just a few trips through the dishwasher. Oddly, green ones turn purple for a long time before gradually turning yellow, so I'd go with that color if you want a longer lasting purple. Edit: 6 months later, the yellow ones are turning blue. Neat! ... show more

  • A backpacking spork so good you'll enjoy testing it at home
Color: Titanium
Ah, the mighty titanium spork. Much as it's admired for its perfection in engineering, thinkgeek's marketing must be recognized for its genius in presenting a utensil for ultralight backpacking to the office crowd, and succeeding so well its influence is still obvious in reviews written a decade later, on another website entirely. Snow Peak probably makes the best known spork, and for good reason. It simply is what it is: lightweight, well shaped, no frills, no ill advised attempt to merge a knife into this multi-utensil. As it should be, sharp edges are unwelcome in your mouth; the edge of the spoon is plenty to cut through softer foods as you might with a fork edge, and if you need to cut meat or anything tougher, you'll want to hold the food with this spork while cutting with a real knife. The tines are sharp and deep enough to spear food efficiently, and the bowl is deep enough and shaped such that it's no problem to scoop up broth and not have it all fall out. Indeed, for a certain kind of mixed-texture food such as stews or, surprisingly enough, enchiladas, this spork exceeds conventional flatware hands down. Even though I bought it for backpacking, I think its versatility makes it a preferred utensil for any camping or picnic setting, where having both a spoon and fork would be helpful but also inconvenient and messy. However, it must be noted that this spork has a somewhat different mouthfeel from stainless steel flatware. The titanium has a satin finish rather than smooth mirror, which feels fine on your lips, but some might find it feels abrasive on very sensitive teeth. It's not bad at all, but it may take a little getting used to if you've always used very smooth utensils. ... show more
