I bought this to replace the Bushnell Sharpshooter 4 x 12 that came with my rifle. I have to admit that the sharpness and clarity is better on the Sniper than my Bushnell. I like the fine reticle and it zeroed in quickly. It seems to hold zero pretty good although its just on a 22. It's not the Arken that I really wanted but it was less than half the price and so far I am very satisfied with it. Maybe down the road I will upgrade but for now this does just fine. ... show more

This scope is definitely not intended for hunting the field of view is very narrow, the clarity is great. the scope holds zero well. it is heavy but on a tripod it will turn your rifle into a tack driver.

MY SCOPES GET A REAL QUALITY CONTROL UNLIKE AN OCCASIONAL SHOOTER AT A RANGE FOR AN HOUR IN A BOOTH. I HAVE READ SOME OF THE LESS THAN GOOD REVIEWS AND HAVE TO SAY THAT PART OF THE ISSUES ARE SHOOTER ERROR. FOR SOME PEOPLE WITH MARGINAL EYE SIGHT YOU HAVE TO BALANCE THE FRONT ADJUST AS WELL AS THE REAR FOCUS. YOU CAN FIND A POINT THAT WORKS. I AM "NOT" USING AR MOUNTS ON ANY OF MY RIFLES. I bought the scope for my 7MM mag and my 3 x 9 x 40 done better. The scope will not hold a zero at 50 yards I was all over the target.
