I use a lot of Snazaroo products for face painting. I have used them in the past more often, but now it's more often around Halloween and birthdays. This is a fine point brush that's good for lines and details. I wouldn't qualify it as "multi purpose" because it is really more for lines.     • As An Artist, I Am Thrilled With This Brush- Let Me Tell You Why..
As an artist AND a makeup artist, I have a lot of interest in brushes. There are certain things that I look for in a brush, so let's see if this brush meets my expectations WHAT IS THIS BRUSH LIKE? A synthetic brush, this brush is approximately about a size 8. The bristles have a great stiffness to them, but they are also able to be manipulated well too. The bristles in this brush are honed to a fine point and the point does not disperse as you put pressure on it. The handle is painted wood and is comfortable to hold as well as manipulate. One of the things I look for in a brush of this type is spring- if it has a lot of spring to it, it makes it easier to make creative lines. HOW DOES THIS BRUSH PERFORM? In doing makeup, one of the most important things is to have a brush that holds its shape, yet will glide across the skin easily allowing for thick or fine lines. This brush has the best of both. In using it for fine lines, the point enables me to put a very fine line on the skin that is precise and easy to control. When putting pressure on the brush, it allows me to make thick lines as well. What is nice about this brush is that I can go from thick to thin easily by reducing the pressure on the brush. It is really easy to make a look using details using this brush. That allows for doing some really nice face painting designs. CLEANING I use Zote Laundry Soap Bar Pink 14.1 Ounce Each (Pack of 4) for cleaning all of my brushes for any kind of face painting or makeup work. It really cleans well and allows for the brush to resume its shape nicely yet with a softness. You can use soap and water of any kind with this brush, however. THE BOTTOM LINE If you like to do thick and thin lines in face painting, this brush is excellent. Fantastic spring and easy to use, this brush enables me to do great designs on the face - including fine detailing. Easy to clean and hold, this brush works beautifully for face painting. I am nothing close to an expert with face paint. Heck, I'm not even a really good amateur. But I like this brush because it lets me do a pretty decent job of applying face paint. The bristles are soft enough that they are comfortable on the skin, but firm enough that they keep their shape during application so I can actually do decent lines and finer details. I like to imagine that, with enough practice, I could get pretty good at this. ... show more

    • Worked great for halloween
Worked great for halloween, we got the all-purpose one and it worked really well, point stayed near perfect and allowed even us first timers to do a decent job on the face paint. For covering an entire face you'd want a sponge or a wider brush, but this worked great for drawing and outlining.
