I purchased this to use as body paint for my cosplay of Pearl from Steven Universe. Color-wise it is PERFECT for that character, as it is less glitter/sparkle and more pearlized. Very pretty! I did have a bit of a hard time getting good coverage as it's not as opaque as some of snazaroo's other paints, you do have to be careful with the amount of water you use. I used a brush to apply, so that could have been part of the problem. Next time I'm going to apply it with a good quality makeup sponge. BE VERY SURE TO SET YOUR BODY PAINT WITH POWDER. I neglected to set the back of my shoulders and smudged all over my boyfriend's costume. Luckily it's water soluble paint and thus easily cleaned, but still, no one likes that kid who leaves paint everywhere.     • smooth, pearly, mixes well with colors, but sheer by itself
nice light creamy consistency when activated with water, pearly sheen. mixes well with other colors to give them a pastel pearlescent tint. by itself this white is fairly sheer as a base coat, even with 2-3 coats. details and lines are also sheer. it does cover smoothly with little or no streaking. would be good for full faces or masks on young children, they would still look like themselves because their skin tone would show through, and they would not be freaked out by opaque white covering their faces. recommend mixing with an opaque white if you want opaque coverage with a pearly sheen. ... show more

I love Snazaroo face paints but I'd never used the sparkle kind before and only purchased it because the plain white was out of stock. This is very pretty but not what I needed. It's an opaque coverage and just adds a shimmery finish. The description needs updated to accurately describe the product!!! I never would have purchased it if I'd know it wasn't actually white just a translucent shimmer. ... show more

You’ll need to have a bucket of water handy. this came to me almost bone dry. had to continually dump water on it to apply then once on my face it had almost no metallic or sparkle to it
