Customer service has been top notch. It's easy to get intimidated by all the buttons and gadgets but with practice, I promise it does get easier to use. I've had a single needle for over 4 years and never thought I'd need anything more. But when hubby suggests a multi-needle, I was happy to try it! I only wish I would've gotten it sooner! The block in my picture only took a little over an hour. On my single needle it would've taken at least 3 hours. When you get your machine, join the facebook group, watch a bunch of you tube videos and Flora will set you up with a trainer. Even though the English in the videos isn't always correct, they are still pretty easy to follow. There are other videos from other individuals also. So far, everything has been working great and everyone has been very helpful. It's quieter than my single needle. The stand makes it easy to move around if needed. Very heavy machine, so you'll need at least 2 strong guys to move it once unpacked. Enjoy it!!! PS. shipping is from a 3rd party, so there probably isn't a 2 day option LOL Mine came in a full semi about 2 weeks after I ordered it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am extremely happy that I decided to pull the plug and purchase this incredible machine. Once the order was placed I joined the FB group and was assigned to a group for setup, training, and support. The machine is user friendly and puts out great quality. Smartstitch has videos on YouTube if you would like to see the machine in action. The customer support is the best I have ever encountered for any machine in my shop. When researching what machine to get everything I heard about SmartStitch was a great machine for a great price but what sealed the deal for me was what I heard about the customer service. I knew I was going to need support being completely new to embroidery so when I heard the reviews of the helpful and quick customer service for support with the machine and any issues that may come up I knew SmartStitch was what I needed. I received my machine and within 24 hrs was added to the Facebook group and then was set up with my own personal support team. I can message this team with questions or excitement of my new beautiful completed projects. My trainers have been wonderful, calm, patient, attentive, and quick to respond , all the things I wanted and need when starting on this new journey. We had a training call with a delightful trainer, she was on the other side of the country than us but she was so kind, and happy to help and had such passion for embroidery and the SmartStitch machine. She never rushed us and gave us plenty of time to learn and try try again when learning the basics. After getting a few small test projects done her support continues into emotional support and encouragement with kind words and excitement for our journey. @Becky Tony Bowman , @Zoey Zoe , @Flora Hunb have been wonderful and we are so grateful to know that we have them on our team as we move forward. The media could not be loaded. We knew NOTHING about embroidery and bought the 1501 and have been so pleased with the machine, the simplicity of setting it up, the beautiful designs that came with the machine and the support. Highly recommend the Smartstitch brand!

    • The Smartstitch S-1501 is a sturdy well built machine.

The Smartstitch S-1501 is a sturdy well built machine that has a steep learning curve. It is very heavy, listed at 210 pounds, and required four of us to get it inside. It was necessary to take one side of the door frame off to fit it through the door. There is a test cloth in the box that was made on your machine. If, when you first try the machine and it doesn't work correctly, like breaks the thread, DO NOT change any of the tension knobs. Not being threaded correctly will be the problem. That includes having the thread caught under the base of the thread spool. As the factory customer support is in China, the time difference results in delays in getting answers. However, there is a very good social media support network on FB in the US. As with any graphic arts software, the Smartstitch software will take some time to learn. There are a lot of really great videos to answer your questions. The FB group will set-up a individual support team just for you, and they will point you to the answers to your questions. I highly recommend the Smartstitch S-1501 as a great value for the cost. The only con I found is that there is little if any printed documentation. ... show more
