Ok. Here's the skinny on the goods [part 1]. It is too short. I haven't slept on it yet. I do have pictures to share, But not right away. I fitted it Both ways. I opted to have less foot room. My husband likes more blanket on the sides anyway. As of now, he hasn't seen it yet and haven't slept under it. Pluses. it is short, but it's made out of cotton, and cotton Does stretch. It's no big deal right now that I find myself giving 'yanks' when I walk by. (I'll never get the Right fit). It's Very well made and soft. I am 5'8", my husband, 6'1". It's Heavy but it's not. Ez to get out of bed. You feel the weight right away. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, and he has arthritis in his hands and back. We welcome Anything that takes the pain away. Minuses. Not a True Queen size, but, Meh.. for now. Not 'all' pockets have the same amount of beads. Some less, some more. ... show more

I bought the 17lb 60”x80” blanket as a gift for my son. He said he loved it and Curious myself, I asked to try it myself out while he was away on vacation shortly after he had received it. He agreed and I used his before later purchasing my own. I love how snug and comfortable it made me feel! So after a week of testing it out, I decided to purchase one large enough for my husband and I got to use as well. While I liked the weight of it, I was nervous how my husband would feel about it or how hard it would be to share such a heavy blanket together that I opted for a lighter version… bad idea! I wish I had paid more attention to the weight of this one and gotten one with a comparable weight distribution as this one which was 60”x80” 17/lbs. if you’re on the fence about getting one I would try a smaller size blanket that costs less to see if you like it or not, and then do the math to figure out what size and weight you need for a larger blanket versus the other way around, since not being able to return it once you’ve used it if your unhappy with it is a lot easier when you’ve spent less, and with a smaller blanket, you could have more uses for it/gift it etc. ... show more

I have had this almost a year now, but I stopped using it regularly. The first thing, it is a comfort against anxiety which was a problem for me. However, I think I got one that was too heavy for me. I was trying to go by the recommendation based on weight and opted for a 17 pound but I think I would have done better with a 15 or maybe even 12. I LIKED the pressure of the weight but after awhile my back and joints that started to hurt. Maybe because I am out of shape, but it wasn't pleasent. Overall I recommend a weighted blanket, but maybe go for lighter than you would think you need. If you have a way to try it out(maybe a friend has one?) Do that. ... show more

I bought a queen size blanket for my king size bed because I need the weight on my legs. This has worked a treat. Just FYI though, when folded this blanket is quite heavy. Make sure to read the description of what size you are actually buying. The blanket I bought was advertised as “queen size” but it’s about as wide as a twin size bed. It is a good blanket but I was disappointed in the actual size, I should have looked closer!
