The light is actually quite nice. Very bright LEDs and the unit is solid aluminum. The cover over the LEDs is glass as well and not cheap plastic like on some models. I also like that the mounts lift the light up above the tank about three to four inches. The only down side was the power supply for the light wouldn't work. It was dead out of the box. Luckily I had a power supply for another aquarium light that was the same type and it works fine now. The phone app is nice too. A lot like the Fluval app but with more features. The thermostat is nice as well as you can monitor it from anywhere and it will send an alarm for your high and low settings. Would have liked to have given it five stars but couldn't due to a DOA power supply. Cheers. 11/03/23 Company contacted me and was very generous and sent out a new power supply to me. Nice LEDs, Wifi and temperature monitoring. Plenty bright enough - only have plastic plants so don't need to grow anything, running at 50% brightness during day and 10% blue in evening. V easy to customise on app. Only 2 weeks in but v happy with it so far.

I was on the fence about this light because there were other lights that looked like they would be just as good for less but I really liked the idea of the app to control it on my phone. I am glad that I went with this one! The integrated temperature monitoring and the ability to check it remotely on my phone is an added bonus. I also love the light modes and being able to control and create custom modes as well. It was extremely easy to set up and get the ap paired. All of this said, I have only had it a couple of days. If it performs well over the long haul, I will be buying additional units for other aquariums in the future. From what I have seen, the app also makes it easy to control and monitor multiple lights so it will be even better. ... show more

Folks it is not that easy to program this thing. I would call myself someone who understands how electronics work and this had me stumped. I was finally able to get the SUNRISE/SUNSET feature to work. There was no logical or instinctual method to do this. Just blind luck. It worked great. It looked great. It was everything I wanted in a tank light. Then the nation switched to daylight savings and the app did not. Sunrise and Sunset were out of sync. Opened the app and was told there is a NEW version to install. Thinking perhaps they solved the small screen problem I did that first. Big mistake. In doing this all my old settings were lost, and I will have to start over. I have had this thing for about 40 days otherwise I would return it. If you can’t figure it out it’s junk. Poor/no customer service. Help requests go unanswered. Don’t buy. ... show more

OK the light itself is great, it's as bright or a bit brighter than the Fluval 3.0 and has better red leds.....however 2 things make it a no go for me. 1. The extendable riser end stands are too high, make them like other lights and make a option riser avaliable. 2. The tempature thing is useless...get rid of it..we don't need another temp probe in the tank and since it's just monitoring temp there is nothing you can do if out of town etc. 3. Get rid if the multiple zones...they are useless. The app is actually decent. Good job on that. ... show more

Feels and functions like a quality built device. The Wifi setup went smoothly and controlling it remotely over Wifi works well. The temperature sensor is a really handy feature, as the app charts the water temperature history and also allows you to set up an alarm to notify you in the event the water gets too cold or too hot. I really like the ability to program different color temperatures and brightness to automatically follow a schedule. I would buy again and I would recommend it to a friend. ... show more

First of all the light has some weight too it feels like quality, the cloud cover is pretty realistic. I like the lightning in the sense that it uses different parts of the light too make the effects , just received the light yesterday so I don't want too go ALL IN on reviewing but I do have another bigger tank ,I would love too put two of them on it, provided they are the QUALITY I THINK THEY ARE..
