The media could not be loaded. We have been buying this for almost 3 years now for our little piggies, and it some great litter! I had guinea pigs as a child and now we just got a couple for my daughter. After trying a few different bedding options, I think we've landed on this as the most affordable, yet still best-working option. We tried carefresh as well, and I didn't notice that it controlled odor any better. I personally find that the odor of the hay overpowers everything else, until about the last day that we clean out the cage completely and replace all the bedding. (We generally make it about a week between complete cage cleanings.) And I have a very sensitive nose...this bedding absorbs well, is soft and comfortable, dust-free, and is well-packed, so I feel like we get a lot in each package. It can be a bit difficult to get it from the package to the cage, but aside from that, we're happy with the product. ... show more

I don't think it does anything for scent, but it does absorb and there is a lot in the bag. I use for the litter pan in my rabbit condo. Rabbit seems happy with it, too. Have used about 3/4 of a bag and it has lasted a good while longer than the smaller bags I was getting from Walmart. That stuff was a bit scratchy and stunk. I didn't realize that it would be like dry paper pulp/fluff. I had to manually break it into fluff, it was packed so tight. It doesn't have any weight to it. The chicks seem to be doing well in it though, and it's doing a great job keeping the brooder pen clean. I did have to put pieces of cardboard under the water and food containers though, they seem to be really good at piling the fluff in those containers. The water gets completely absorbed by the fluff, so if I'm not careful, they run out of available water quickly. And the fluff makes it hard for them to get to the actual food in their feeder. Even with the cardboard under them. On the "scent" rating I'm giving 5 stars because there is no bad scent from their droppings, not because the fluff has any scent of its own. ... show more
