This is a solid, well-made product. It doesn't feel cheap in the hand. The buttons press well and aren't flimsy. The speaker quality isn't bad, but it isn't great, probably what you'd call middle of the road. It gets loud without being distorted, but it certainly isn't Bose-level fullness of sound if you're expecting that kind of thing. I didn't like how the volume dial is limitless - there is no top or bottom, it just spins forever and plays a noise when you've reached loudest it'll go. Maybe that's easier or more reliable than having a hard stop, but I'd still prefer if it stops spinning once you've maxed it out. The variety of sounds is good and covers all the usual bases. The quality of the sounds is also well-done with no complaints. The LED light feature is a ring that goes around the entire unit and is a pleasing warm white color (yellow/orange, maybe around 2000K or perhaps a bit lower) that works very well for nighttime. The built-in hook strap at the top is solid and not ripping off, but it is short (maybe only an inch to an inch-and-a-half) so you'll likely need to add another strap if you want to hook it into something and have it hang down a few inches. Nice little sound machine, plays 20 or so different sounds rechargeable and portable. The speaker quality is medium, but better than a phone if that is what you usually use. The amber light is a nice touch. I can recommend for adults who use like white noise, it is comfortable for me when traveling, but I think with all things for baby you have to find what works for your baby. ... show more

    • A Few Notable Things That Stand Out to Me:
The button-lock switch on the back prevents all button and volume functions from working, except for the power button; it will still power off/on when held down. The light brightness levels are so nice, it can be dimmed down to just a glow, or illuminated to faintly light up the room, enough to do simple tasks. There is a single note that dings when you’ve reached max volume, and a little chime that plays when you’ve cycled through all the sound options on one button. It doesn’t seem like this chime is affected by the volume level at all, and I find it to be too loud when the volume is set to low. I really appreciate that it remembers your last settings, so I can set it once, choose a timer, and after it shuts off either from the timer or if I manually turn it off, when I turn it back on, it powers up with all the last settings, including the selected timer, so I don’t have to manually set it every time. Makes using this very quick and simple. Overall, I’m impressed with the build quality. The max volume is moderately louder than what I was expecting for this small speaker, and it doesn’t sound distorted. It has a nice low rumble for the thunder in one of the rain sounds. I like the selection of sounds! Really great for travel. Holds a good charge, its been used nightly for over a week so far without needing to recharge. ... show more

The device is very nice and compact. The sizing of the device makes it very Easy for Travel. You can simply place the Sound machine into a bag or use other options like the INCLUDED attachment circle to connect the Sound Machine to something like a bed frame or a child stroller. The Sound machine is Very Easy to Use and the kit INCLUDES INSTRUCTIONS in different languages as seen on my review pictures. The device is also Rechargeable using the provided (Male USB-A to Male USB-C cable) and a NOT Included USB power supply that must be a 5vdc 1A. The sounds of the device can be changed to various peaceful and relaxing sounds like rain and water flow and fan. The sounds can be set to play for a particular amount of time or continuously and the volume can be increased or decreased. The battery lifetime of the Sound Machine device is very good and being that the device is rechargeable it makes this product a Great Value for Money and No hassle finding or changing batteries. I got this in the travel/on the go version here, as well as the larger home version, and both are fantastic. This is great for a stroller or for travel for adults. It has a very unobtrusive nightlight option, and plenty of great sounds to sleep to (for babies or pets, it includes the SHHH sound, heartbeat, and even lullabies - for anyone there are white noises, fans ,and nature sounds). This new white noise machine was a nice replacement for our current fan-based one. First of all, it is battery operated and rechargeable so I do not have look for an electrical outlet. Secondly, it has a built in night light. Thirdly, it has so many sounds to choose from: Fans to nature sounds. Lastly, it is light and compact and can be taken anywhere.
