  • Phenomenal pre-built. Glad I purchased.
This is a phenomenal pre-built. I was skeptical about buying pre-builts but in this current GPU market, you don't have much of a choice. I picked the Skytech Prism II gaming PC with the Ryzen 5800X and AMD 6900XT, 32 GB of 3666 memory and 1 TB NVMe SSD. The PC was very well priced in the current GPU market. Similar Nvidia builds were significantly more expensive with less memory and generally a weaker CPU. I was able to get this PC for $2700 from Amazon. The PC arrived in about 3-4 weeks after placing the order for the PC. When it arrived, the PC was boxed in two boxes with in-between packing material to ensure safe arrival of the product. The PC was also safely packaged inside the inner most box with packing material inside the PC itself to keep components from moving around during shipping. This was a welcome sight as many prebuilt PC companies do not include internal packaging for the products. The PC started up right away without issue, Windows was easily configured and there was absolutely 0 bloatware on this device. I did have issues with the base AMD driver which lead to hard crashes 15 minutes after starting the PC. This took me a while to diagnose but got it resolved. This is no fault of Skytech. One other issue is that my particular unit has incredible coil whine from the PSU. The coil whine is the worst I have heard in any PC component in my lifetime. This can happen though, so once again not to any fault of Skytech. The wiring management in the PC is very well done, however the fans do seem to be a bit on the weaker side. This seems to be evident that the 5800X will idle at around 60-62*C with nothing running. I plan on replacing the fans and maybe re-orienting them for more optimal airflow and will update this review if the thermals end up changing significantly. Overall I am incredibly pleased with the build quality, packaging and overall experience. I rate this build a solid 10/10. And for those who are on the fence about buying a prebuilt, this pre-built will make you worry free. ... show more

  • Sad
Style: 12900K | 3090 Ti
Worked beautifully for 30 minutes until it stopped recognizing the graphics card. Spent about 3 days reformatting, updating drivers and trying to resolve the issue to no avail. Several times I called the customer support number on the business card it came with, and every time it went to voicemail, even during business hours. Shipping was originally supposed to be two days and immediately switched to 1 to 2 weeks after purchase which was infuriating. This computer should have been on my desk running smoothly over a week ago, and now I am carrying this giant box to a UPS store to be shipped back, waiting for a refund, and then starting the process all over again somewhere else. ... show more

  • More than expected
[Skytech Prism II Gaming PC Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8GHz, AMD 6900XT 16GB] Package came well protected, including expandable foam inside case, the video card was still sagging a tiny bit so I removed to inspect only to realize that the card was Upgraded. Came with the (ASRock OC Formula Radeon RX 6950 XT) it weighs over 4 lbs. Inside the box was some extra parts including a metal arm that when installed helped hold up this card, not sure why it was not installed at the factory but easy to add. Over all everything works great (except for the RGB software, not updated yet but lots of color on everything inside the case, this was not important to me) and the build was pretty clean (nice case). It runs everything I have thrown at it, 4K 60fps is not a problem. So far the only minor complaint is fan noise but I knew it was not going to be whisper quite with 9 fans running. Wife says it sounds like a swarm of bees when it really spools up, it is however running cool despite the hard work. This is my first factory built PC in a long time and so far I am very happy with it. ... show more

  • It’s what I wanted in a PC
The media could not be loaded. First off, just getting a high end video card these days is impossible. I usually go Nvidia and Intel, but this time I decided to go with AMD and Radeon. After adding up all the parts, I definitely saved money even though I can’t choose my other parts. It came with an ASrock phantom gaming 4 mobo ($154), gamdias 360 aio cooler ($160), i looked at the psu and I dont think it actually came with a 1000w gold. It looked like an 850w Rosewill gold, which is still more than enough to power this. Ryzen 7 5800x ($394), lian li165, 1tb WD black storage ($131), xfx 6900 xt i believe it’s the speedster merc for $1700, g. Skill 32 gb ram 3200 $264. This would have been about $3200+ and I got the system for $2500. The packaging was decent. It had plenty of foam and the tower itself has it’s own bag. After I got al the foam out from the inside, i made sure everything was still plugged in after getting moved around in shipping and I powered it on. The computer started and immediately shut down. I reattached the motherboard power and video card, re sat the ram and the video card and the computer was fine for a couple of week. Then last week it started to shut off by itself again. So I resat everything, i was thinking that maybe the video card is too heavy that it’s coming out, but it still kept shutting off by itself. I removed the cpu cooler and the thermal paste was kind of minimal, so I redid that and the computer is fine now. I was thinking it could have been a bad psu, but thankgoodness it wasn’t. I’ve built my own in the past, but now it’s just not worth it with the price of everything. This computer is fast and it looks great. This should last me another 7-8 years like my lst computer did. Their cable management is decent, the case really hides it well. I like having the psu behind the mobo. With 9 fans, it is loud, but when you have headphones on, it really doesn’t matter. ... show more
