Product description:SKYJO – This is the name of the new and exciting game from the publisher Magilano, promising fun and entertainment for many evenings to come. In card game SKYJO the goal is to collect as few points as possible over the course of several turns as after every round every player’s points are counted and added to his score. As soon as a player reaches 100 points or more the player with the fewest points wins. Collecting the fewest points means to look for low or even negative numbers. Further excitement is added by several special rules, which for example make it possible to remove several cards (and with it points) from the game – this can lead to unexpected turns. This motivates daring decisions that might even come back to bite, if the other players can counter faster than expected. What is needed to play? Enough space for 12 cards in front of each player. A positive side effect: When playing, your hands are free, so you can count points or eat snacks. As the game rules are quite easy, small talk during your turns is no problem. Holy cow! After reading the instructions a few times and playing some practice hands, we got the idea. Don't be turned off by the somewhat confusing instructions because this game is worth it. Strategy! Fun! Competitive! Addictive! We took it on a month long cruise. Three of us spent hours playing during a 6 day long stretch of sea days. Each hand is different. I can't recommend this game enough. It is unlike any other game we have played and it travels well. It does require a bit of table space to play. More people, more space needed. I paid full price for this game and was not asked for a review, so this is my honest opinion. ... show more

Played this for the first time a few years ago with a friend and his family. Immediately had to buy it for myself and just bought it again for my brother. It’s a chain reaction. Everyone I’ve shared Sykjo with, shares it with someone else. It’s just so much fun! It gets us all laughing. We like to taunt each other and say “Oh, I’d risk it!” Or chant “chance it, chance it!” - In hopes that person’s gamble doesn’t pan out and they hand over a negative card! Haha ... show more

Our son brought this home from Germany at Christmas time and it has quickly become a family favorite! Easy to teach and learn, it's a great game to even play with guests after dinner. Now "empty-nesters," it's even fun to play with just two of us. It isn't stressful nor does it take a lot of brain power. It involves some luck, some strategy with unexpected twists along the way to keep you guessing, and none of the rounds take that long (maybe10-20 minutes?)
