After owning the official carrying case from Asus and left wanting on the quality on offer for the cost, I decided to look into alternatives. I’ll keep this short. This is the case to buy if you’re looking for a grip and carrying case combo. The actual grip case fits *perfectly*. All of the ports and vents are unobstructed, and the feel in the hands is remarkably improved due to the added depth afforded by the case. As a bonus, it stands vertically on its own without a need for an additional kickstand or dock. It fits on the device just snugly enough without being at all difficult to put on, and allows for a one handed grip without slipping off the sides. The carrying case is of equally high quality, with a hard shell exterior and soft felt liner. The zipper feels as though it’s made to last and aesthetically it’s very nicely understated unlike the ROG case. For the money spent, I have less than zero complaints. Well, there it is. Basically the perfect combo for those of us with bigger hands or who find the Ally to not be super comfortable. Slipping the grip case on and off is easy as pie, and fitment in the travel case is basically perfect. Just some minor rough edges on the grip case, but nothing to really bother you. One request would be for a white grip case, but that's not current offered at the time of review. I bought this case because of ton of good review, and it come out excellent. The material is good, not too hard, not to soft. Fit well 100%, make you feel better in your hand. And on top of that, my rog ally can stand alone with this case. So I dont need the paper stand that come in the box. That feature is the 100 point + for the case. This protective cover is the best. Fits perfectly and is very comfortable. Adds a bit of girth for better grip and the quality is prime. I love everything this case has. Everything. Waterproof, good weight, hard build, room for both the console AND the grip, extra protection for the screen, a courtesy microfiber cloth for your screen... And I'm even partial to the color. The only thing I wish it had was a port to charge the console while it was in the case. Otherwise, pretty perfect. The sewing is a little off on the inside flap, not too much, but enough to notice. The grip is cool. I like the color, it feels great, pretty ergonomic. Went on easy, stays on like it's part of the console. Access to all the buttons is perfect, as well as all the vents. Stands up by itself for easy viewing of YT and other videos. Still seems a bit expensive at $20, tho', especially when you compare it to the carrying case and the obvious effort and craftsmanship that went into IT for the exact same price. This thing was just pooped out of a single plastic mold and you're asking the same price as the case? Well, as a complete package, these two parts come together and create a terrific protective, comfortable package for your ROG Ally that I highly recommend. I really like thus case it is a pretty purple and very functional. It has textured grips making it easier to keep hold of your device and fits like a glove. There is no interference with the triggers or bumpers. The screen is not covered at all by the case and it works well with screen protectors. The fingerprint sensor can be a bit tricky to use with the case on, I added a new fingerprint with the case on and that seemed to help. Also it is pretty easy to move the little top part of the case out of the way to scan your fingerprint and then put it back, a little more tricky if your charging. ... show more

Bought tons of cases, returned them all. The grips are awesome and also stand Ally upright. Much more comfortable to play. Also fits snugly in my tomtoc molded case. Only downside is 180 usb c adapter does not work, otherwise perfect!
